Default Headlight housing fogging

Has anyone else had a problem with their headlight housings fogging. Not condensation , but what looks like outgassing of the paint and plastic and collecting on the inside of the headlight housing (like on the inside of a windshield of a new car).
My 05 LMB has ~ 9K Miles and they are cloudy.......
I searched and could not find anything.
Anyone know of a TSB or owner satisfaction replacement?
Thanks, Pat

Default Hi Pat !

I will be watching this also, due to the fact that my '05 is doing the exact same thing, and I have less than 9XXX miles on mine !

I have a vert built on 05/05 and I recently noticed a kind of haze on the inside with a hint of color near the top quarter of both my headlights. I only noticed it about a couple of weeks ago and wondered if it was coming from the bulbs? At least now I know I'm not the only one!

I have it. About 2 weeks ago, I drove it to a car show about 1 hour away. It it was very humid and light rain. Not too hot. The inside has more than 50% light fogged due to condensation. Now car is in garage, and its gone away. Not happy. I hope the headlight housing have a vent hole to allow air to circulate. If it is 100% sealed, this would be very bad.

I'll have to look for the haze due to outgassing, but it would not surprise me. There should be a way to easily remove the covers but I bet there is not. Some have said to put the whole assembly in an oven to soften the seal so the clear covers can be removed. Not a pleasant solution.

Well, I finally got off my A__ and brought my 05 LMB in to have the headlight fogging issue checked out.
The Dealer has ordered a new replacement unit for the Passanger side unit and noted the Driver side was "starting to Haze" for future reference as my BTB warrantee expired 9/24/07 and the GMPP doesn't cover "trim" issues.
But I'm a happy camper....hope the new one doesnt haze.

I've noticed some "light" fogging in the lights on my '08 after driving it in colder weather or in the rain. It goes away after the car has been sitting for a few hours. I'll keep an eye on it.

Comes and goes with weather conditions. In time the inside of the lense area will develope a light haze, not unlike the inside of your car windows.
