Default Extrude hone?

Just wondering - How come no corvette owners ever get their intake manifolds extrude honed? It would seem to me that it would have a pretty good gain over just your average port job.

Probably because the intake manifold is molded of smooth plastic. The extrude hone is to smooth out sand casted aluminum intakes.

Oh, well that makes more sense now, I actually never took the time to look at the manifold. I just assumed it was aluminum. However, I think would still actually have a benefit even with the plastic material...

But the Extrude Hone process uses such high pressure that it would completely destroy the nylon/composite intake almost immediately.
