It was a slow night at the track and I got 9 passes. I tried all sorts or different approaches. Abused the crap out of this car and it can take it like a champ.
BEST RUN
E.T. 12.457
MPH 114.97
60FT 2.025
660 N/A
First run was 12.635 @ 113.23 2.022 60ft.
I never got better than a 2.02 worst was 2.09
The car definately felt better with every run and it seems to like hot lapping. According to my outside weather displace it was 88 deg. during my first run and 84 on my best run. Engine temp was usually at 200 deg.
Well there it is guys, I just stopped into my office to post the anticipated times and will scan my slip tomorrow, good night.

12.457 @ 114.97 in 80 some odd degree weather ain't bad. That one run would put you all the way into 6th place on that list on your first night out.
Had it been 60* or 65* it could have been better.
Nice time.

Those are some really good numbers. A good tune and a CAI, and the LS3's might dip into the 11's. I would be wiling ot bet that if you got a little more seat time in the car also, you might be able to squeze out a 12.20 something
I'll try not to break my arm patting myself on the back, but I predicted 12.4 at 115. Of course, I said you had to get a 60 foot time of 1.95 or better. Go to Houston on a cool day and cut some 1.95's and that car will be in the 11's at 116 easy!!!!!!
I kinda take my first post back. I dont think it will take a tune and a cai. With cooler weather, and some more time in the car, these cars may be able to get into the 11's right from the factory.

60* weather, or a bit lower, low humidity, good track prep, good driver, and we might see an 11.9 before Christmas.
Also, don't forget, he did this with 2.56 gears. I don't think he had the 2.73s. That may have gotten him another tenth tonight.
Too bad I haven't the patience for winter. Monday the AR full lengths go on and I need to exchange my vararam for a Z06 style and definately get 17's and slicks and dip to I hope 11.8's untuned.
I am getting tired, but I want to stay up, and read what all the doubters are going to say now.
Unless he cannot produce a timeslip, and I highly doubt that he can't, then there is no doubting what happened and how the car ran. Nay sayers don't have a leg to stand on with this one. LS2 vs LS3 is a non issue after this run.
Anyone wanting to throw a wet blanket over this one has to ask themselves " 12.45 in the dead of summer??? What would he have run had this been a cool, fall day??
He is 2 tenths away from the record and got that close in 84* weather
12.4, bone stock in the middle of August in Texas?????? Only a fool would try and pooh pooh that.

Wait, this is an A6? I didnt realize that. Unbelievable. Then a good driver with a Z51 6sp man, with good weather should definitely be able to get into the 11's

Naw, I think an A6, with 2.73s, probably base suspension and lighter in weight, will get the record.
I believe that the A6 with 2.73s is geared even lower than the MZ6 Z51.
The manual, be it base or Z51, will require quite a bit more skill to pilot into the low numbers than the automatics will.
A good enough manual driver to do that, may be a bit harder to come by than a good enough automatic driver.

OK, I think Atomic will run in the 11's this fall. All he has to do is take a road trip to Houston, have good weather, cut a 1.94 or better and he's THERE!!!! Atomic, YOU DA MAN!
