Default CAI question---Killer Bee vs Vararam

I need some advice. I have an '07 Z06 with Corsas and their X pipe. I am planning to upgrade the intake with either a Killer Bee or Vararam and am interested in an thoughts, comments. I was just about settled on the VR but the more research I do, the less sure I am. I need your help. Please give me some advice. Thanks.

Well, you can research all you want.
You can drive yourself nuts.
The bottom line is this:Outside air into the motor-direct shot-gets you power.Nothing but LPE,CALLAWAY,BREATHLESS SETUP, and VARARAM does that.Anybody can claim whatever they want, but the results are what matters.I do like the name KILLER BEE,and the LOOKS of that air filter, but in the end all it is is a big air filter.Even opening up the bottom of the shroud,or adding the NEW VETTE-AIR setup to it will not,IMHO,yield the same results as VARARAM!

Big John,

I can't comment on any of the other products because I have not tried them, but I have had Vararam on both my 04 and my 07 and have been very pleased with them. Hope that helps.

IMO I thought the vararam I had for my 01Z06 was good performance, but install and product workmanship was subpar. I ordered some spare filters and they jacked me around. I won't give them my business again!

I would consider the Killer bee or K&N if I was going to modify which I'm not, at least for now.

I'll make this REALLY easy for ya....which combo powers the fastest street C6 Z06? Which combo has shown over and over again to make the power? Which combo you see in many of the fastest and more powerful C6 and C6Z's? Which CAI kit combo was the first to run in the 9's and 10's?

You will realize what I have been saying for weeks once you get the answers to the questions above.

I'm just stating the facts brotha...no sales pitch All CAI kits on the market will help, period. The VA/KB combo just happens to perform a little better than the rest....again, look at the results (track, dyno and on the streets).

Thanks,
Carlos

I have the Vararam and no plans to change it but I think the killer bee with the Vette Air scoop is a damm good option. If you go the killer bee route and want the benefits of the Vram get the vette air scope.

PLUS the KB/VA is much easier to install and it cost less to boot!

Thanks,
Carlos

I would agree with the easier install but not sure about cost. I picked up my Vram for about $300 new.

Carlos
You should think about teaming up with Halltech to put together a package deal with the KB/VA.

Again, I don't have or have had the KB/VA combo but I did have a similiar set up on my 03Z06 and it was an excellent set up.

I have an LPE set up on my Z. I just installed a Vararam and love it. The faster you drive the harder the car pulls. Over 100mph it's ridiculous. Like the car is running a little boost.

The Vette-Air scoop is a nice touch and will help all of the intakes out there because it's blowing outside cool air into the filter.

But the the vararam is getting forced air. I'm a believer!
