Hi, guys/ gals. new to the site. I have a question for everyone. Does the 07 C6 vette have a limiter on it to stop the car from going over a certain speed?
Vettes are only limited by drag (wind resistance).
186 for LS2 C6
190 for LS3 C6
198 for Z06
But with a strong tailwind, any would see 200+...
The C6 (05 -07) is exactly the same externally as the C6 2008. I don't have the numbers but my guess is that the drag coefficient on a Z06 is slightly greater than a regular body C6.

There is a limiter - it is in the PCM.....
But the 08 has more HP, as does the Z06, thus the difference in speed. All these numbers have been repeatedly published in various mags via testing. C&D in particular...

The base coupe has a cd of .28, while the Z06 comes in at .34 due to wider body and tires.
Thats what I thought. A friend at work is telling me there is no car sold in the US that will go that fast. He said every car has a limiter to stop top end speed way before 186.
There is a limiter. It is set at 186 mph from the factory. This has been tested by other members to make sure it works by lowering the value and the car would not go above the set speed.
