Hi All!
I am a new member who just picked up a 2005 Coupe with selective ride. I really don't see any difference, on the street, between the two choices of "touring" or "sport". The ride over bumps seems to be the same and quick Zig-Zags seems the same. What am I missing here?
Thanks
I can tell the difference in my '05 from tour to sport immediately, especially when on a stretch of rough textured freeway. The noise level from tire noise and the roughness become apparent as soon as the switch is turned to sport.I put Z-51 sway bars on my car,so transient response is always excellent, but I can definately feel the tightness of the sport mode around the many tight, off camber corners in N.Ca. There have been posters who have stated that the newer C6's have had the electronics for the F55 suspension recalibrated to provide more of a difference in feel.

4oldguy,
I think BlackMark is right on. I have about 2100 miles on my '07 A6 with F55 suspension (selective ride/magnetic shocks) and I really notice the differance immidiately. So maybe the newer models are a little more sensative. I had an '02 without the F55 suspension and it was horrible. The reason for choosing this option is that I've had 3 back operations in the last 37 years. Frankly I could no longer drive a Vette without this option. I do use the Sport mode periodically on smooth roads and it feels fine on my back. But when the roads are bumpy, it's Touring mode for sure!
Just a thought: You might want to bring it to a dealer and have them check the computer to see if it throws out a code. Who knows you may have discovered a problem. Good luck in any event. Let us know how it turns out.
