Yeah I am getting spark plugs, an aluminum TB spacer, and an aftermarket maf, and should put down an extra 60rwhp easy.

All kidding aside. Glad to hear you are happy with your purchase, and glad to hear that you met your goals without the heads.

Because I was planning on doing the cam myself, in which case I am only saving my own labor by doing the heads at the same time.

The stock tires are good for 450rwhp? Try drag racing. The stock tires aren't very good for 350rwhp. No MN6 cars have beaten 2.10 60' at my track with the F1's yet that I know of.

Your next mod should be some tires.

Yea - the tires do light up a little easier now! I was at the rev limiter before I knew it and almost turned around in the road this morning.

You will probably save about $800 on installing that cam yourself assuming you are doing the double springs and push rods at the same time. Jeff set my Rev limiter to 7 grand during the tune

Joe - Jeff said he does not use the new dynojet software, so he does not have the .drf file you requested. He is sending me the overlay of stock vs. the mod RWHP & Torque Graph maybe today. Maybe that will tell you what you need to know?

BTW folks, I have not seen any electrical issues running the Underdrive Pulley. Some folks said I might have issues. Not the case with my car.

No big deal - if you have the file it's easy to overlay and see exact figures at various rpms and a bunch of other run data. But it doesn't matter, thanks for asking.

Enjoy the power!!

[QUOTE=Kevinmatt;1561728177]Jeff told me the cost of heads installed that would get you around 35 RWHP would cost $3500 installed. I would have saved $100 in tuning if I did it during this past mod. Jeff told me that I have taken advantage of all of the lower hanging fruit as far as the engine mods go. Many folks asked me that same question though. It is a good question BTW.

Like Joe said, over 450 RWHP your car tends to spin with stock tires. So the cost to mod over that goes up exponentially.

The next thing I may do is the 4.10 rear gear - anyone get good results with a C6 Z51? UI thought the Z51 already had big geraring through the transmission?

Maybe I should add those 29 RWHP super spark plugs I have been reading about on the forum instead of heads in the future. [/QUOTE

Hey Kevin I also am very happy with jeff creech, My car did 445 408 through 4.10 gears, which is really 455ish since dynos read around 10 hp less through these gears. Jeff picked a bigger cam grind but doesnt like to talk about what the specks are but man does she shake My car is a z51 6speed and yes the 4.10's are pretty stepp through the z51 trany ratios. It feels great however and gave me a real sotp diffrence but your at 2100 at 70 rpms in 6th and I do tend to shift more so 3.90's would be my recomendation. One cool thing though is I can just let the clutch out, no gas, and it doesnt bog or stall.

My tires are ps2's 345's out back and they take all of it to the pavement to which is great since I thought traction would be a issue. One cool thing though is I can just let the clutch out, no gas, and it doesnt bog or stall.

Hey Drillo - good numbers.

Here's a video clip of my car at idle (Cam 228/232 @ 112 LSA):

Also, here's my overlay graph of a stock LS2 vs my mod:

Let me know what you think about the cam sound and the dyno overlay. You can also see the Kooks headers in the video.

Sounds mean! I was wondering if that was with the ac on? when I put my ac on my car rocks a good inch side to side, it feels like someone is shaking the car side to side but with the ac off it is not so pronounced. Your torque curve is also better then my cams, very smooth, impressive, mine dips more at 3500, down to 350, up top though its killer! I think you should do the gears and some better tires next, you'll love em and zip corvette is right in mechanicsvillem va, did mine same day around 1700 installed.

Sounds great Matt. I have factory exhaust too, I love how quiet it is. Your video makes it sound louder than it is, my video is the same.

Here's our dyno graphs. That FAST of yours really shines:

Yours:

Mine: Mine has stock plus boltons plus cam only. You went FAST - I went with thinner Cometic .040 gaskets to keep low end reasonable. I raised my compression to 11.4 IIRC.

By the way I have your next mod. Here's a vid with my cutouts operating: The second car on the dyno in the vid is my buddy's with a 403, FAST, AFR, you name it. And over 500 rwhp. That is one fast car I can tell you.

Kevin,
Sounds like you got what you wanted and for a fair price. You sound like one happiy camper in a candy store! Your comments on HP and handling are helping me decide that my next mods should be very similar to yours. Mine is an A6 w/paddles, hi-flow cats, Corsa cat backs and a tune. As of now I have 365RWHP and 360 RWT. My next mods will be the cam, CAI and the Fast or port job on the stock intake. I'm hoping mine will be as fast as yours. Have fun and be safe. Oh yea I'M JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!

Kevin,
Forgot to ask a favor. Could you post a contact for the shop who did the airbrush flame job on the fuel rails? That is by far one of the best add ons for underthe hood looks I have ever seen! Thanks in advance.

Hey Fran - Thanks. In reference to the guy that sold me the Fuel Rail Covers. Just send Al an email at caveman5020@yahoo.com. Tell him Kevin from VA gave you his email address. He does good work and is by far the cheapest I have run accoss. My covers were also professionally packed and sealed.

I would go with the FAST intake. My tuner said he did not see much gain in ported stock manifolds. You tuner can give your guidance in this area as well as the folks on this forum. Everyone has really been great in helping me decide what mods to do to my car.

Good luck with those mods! Kevin

All, here's another video clip of my car and the engine compartment:

Kevin,
Thanks much for all this info. You've given a lot of us beginners a high goal to shoot for. Guess what the next mod is going to be?? Those are without question the best looking covers I have ever seen! Will post pics as soon as I get them on my car. Can't wait till I get down that road that you are on now. Real glad for you and your superb results.... but since I'm an efn baby at heart I'm JEALOUS!!!!!! Again thanks and good luck, be safe.
