It'll take more than the cam specs to calculate DCR. Rod length, bore, stroke, piston cc (dish or pop up), piston deck height (above or below deck), head gasket thickness, head gasket bore, and combustion chamber cc will be required to perform the calculation. I'm sure there are online DCR calculators if you do a search.

Edit: I found one for you, it just requires registering.

Looks like they want a few more dimensions I didn't mention like piston to bore clearance and top ring land height...they're going after every little fraction of a CC they can!

daym Glass, I got all the #s on the cam(more than I thought ever possible) but I dont have the other stuff. I guess just to compare apples to apples I would use the OEM numbers for all those parameters but I have no idea what they are.

I think you really want to see how much your DCR decreases with your new cam, therefore it can be treated as a relative measurement. So some of the dimensions aren't critical as long as you use the same numbers when you calculate the before and after DCRs. You can go to the pull down menu and select the LS6 to get a lot of the dimensions. Change the bore to 4" and the piston to cylinder wall clearance to 0.000". Since the LS6 head gasket bore is .012" larger than the bore, change the head gasket bore to 4.012". I'm not sure about the deck height or head gasket thickness, but the numbers they have should be good enough for comparison purposes. Good luck and have fun!

Do a search on dynamic compression calculator. There is a program out there that will do it for you however you need to know specifics about the piston dish etc.
