C6 Brakes...

This weekend I removed my brake calipers and painted them, I also replaced my front brake pads with new ones (Raybestos). After I reinstalled the brake lines and calipers and went for a test drive, It seems like that the brake pedal may depress further than it did before. Also noticed that after about 20 mins. of driving the (service active handling) light comes on, however it does reset itself after the car is turned off and then on again. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you may need to bleed the brakes again. Might still have some air in the lines.

and check that you put them back on the right corners of the car, especially the rears. The bleed screw should be above the fluid line, not below it, or they will never bleed.

bleed brakes, check and see if a sensor plug is loose

Thanks for all the suggestions...I decided to take it to the dealer and guess what? They had to bleed the lines -$100.00. This was the first time I ever took the calipers off to paint. Next time I will know how to finish the job. It seemed easier for me to paint with them on, however, the job is much cleaner when you remove them.
