Hi, I havent really made my introduction yet but I'll give you a watered down version.
My name is Jeff, I live in Newark DE, I'm 21 and a former Porsche owner.
Anyways, I'll be getting a C6 in the near, near future. I'm still looking for that perfect one but it will have Corsa exhaust on it. I was wondering if you can see the actual silencer from the rear of the car. As when driving behind the vette, can you see the chrome around the exhaust tips and does it take away their effect.
If so, can you use high temp paint to paint the silencer black as to make it dissappear when viewing it from behind? Has anyone done this?
Don't flame, I plan on going the NA route with a comp cam 231/237 .591/.601 112LSA within the first couple months. I just want her to look as sexy as she sounds.
Nice to see you finally decided to get a real car !
Porsche suck dick
Ive owned 2 and they were nothing but trouble
I actually loved my Porsche. It was a 2003 Carrera 4S. The fit and finish far exceeds that of mercedes benz and even bmw. Great car, lots of power and it got looks like it was its job. I loved it up untill the day it was totalled by a woman in a malibu.
I'm not buying a vette for its fit and finish, I'm buying it for that 6.0L V8 which will soon be enhanced by headers, exhaust, intake and cam package. After clutch and gears of course. I also figure I can replace the boring interior trim with a/m carbon fiber to jazz it up some
Actually, the fit and finish on the Corvette is pretty good. as is the handling and braking. The only place where it needs help is the steering, and even that is forgotten when you hit the throttle. You are on the right track with Corsa, although the rest of the mods you describe may be overkill. BTW, my previous car was an M3 with a bunch of Dinan mods, and I really enjoy the Corvette.

From what I've seen, the Corvette fit and finish seems to be up to par. I have no complaints. I'm sure I'll miss the all wheel drive when it comes to the twisties, but I've never owned a vette before and I'm sure I won't be able to wipe the smile off my face once I get it. You think the cam is too aggressive? I do want a cam and from what I've read and heard this one seems reasonable.
