Default Installed V Ram yesterday

I just installed the snake charmer yeterday. after reading many posts about the pro's and cons of this system I must say the install was a breeze. Besides cutting the shroud. PIA. The box and filter seemed to seal up very tight; everything lined up and installed with no problems. As for the seat of the pants feel. I am very impressed and would recommend the v ram to anyone. The only problem is I have a much harder time controlling my right foot

I installed my VR last week, and noitced how much harder my car pulled when it was heat soaked. Seemed like i was drving in the winter when it was 95 degrees out.

You need about 100 miles or so for the computer to recalculate what the VR is doing.

That and to make sure it doesn't throw any codes.

I haven't had the chance to put 100miles on yet. too busy working to pay for the future mods. If it gets better after a break in adjustment period even better. This thing is already awesome! I do plan on a tune after probably Corsa Sports and possibly American Racing Headers. mods mods mods. gotta love em.

Default Vr installed

Hey, is your Vararam the updated one? There was someone on this forum who had sealing issues around the filter and the case. I am considering buying the intake for cooler air into the engine. Did you get a good deal on it? Do you need to buy the throttle body spacer?

I just want to make sure no dirt or sand gets into my engine.

I believe it was the updated one. it has a foam gasket inside the box where the filter sits. the filter fit in very snug. there was a small gap on one side where the top and bottom sections of the box met. but with the gasket inside i don't see how any air or debris will be able to leak through. besides cutting the shroud the install was super easy.
I bought it through east coast corvettes less than $290 including shipping. I did not get the spacer. don't think it's needed. from what i read it causes fitment issues because it pushes the whole assembly forward the thickness of the spacer. Headaches for what; maybe 5 hp.
