On a popular auction site, LS2's with transmission are advertised for $7,000 to $9000.00
A new crate LS2 is around $5,500 to 6,500

I saw a guy trying to sell one a few weeks back for 3500 that had 500 miles on it.
I decided to just keep mine in the corner of the garage somewhere in case I ever sell the car. That way I can take the LS7 out and stick the LS2 back in. Taking 3000 for the engine just isn't worth it.

I am pretty sure I saw GMPP selling them new for $5200. I'm with the crowd, 3K is probably right.
