What is considered a fair installation cost (labor only) for each of the following, if done as separate installs?
1. Headers
2. Cam
3. Ported TB and Intake
Thanks!
1. Do the headers yourself, save 300 to 500. You should do this yourself it is just bolt on.
2. If you don't want to do this it is about a 16 to 20 hour job. You can get this done with a tune in the range of 2500 to 3000 including parts and labor.
3. Do this yourself and save a little cash. You shouldn't get charged more than two hours labor for this so maybe 150.

I agree with the achilds as you can save yourself a lot of money by doing it yourself as it really isn't that hard. With the help of my 14 year old son I just finished a bunch of mods including a cam and headers:
I'm not sure about the cost of the intake and TB, but I was recently quoted $900 for a cam installation and $500 to install the headers. The cam is anywhere from a 8 - 20 hours job depending on whether you've done it before and we just did the headers today and it took us about 2-1/2 hours.

Haha... I know it's free if I do it myself, but I've done enough in the past and don't want to mess with most of it anymore. I may do the intake/throttle body, but having done headers and cams before, I'd rather pass on the next install!
cbrf4i1 (Steve) does a great job porting intakes and TBs. He did mine and several other forum members. Let me know if you want me to PM you his #. He is here in Chandler.

Thanks vidal... I have talked with Steve in the past and will probably go in his direction. Just curious if I got lazy and ordered LSPortworks or something. It's the heat... makes me want to sleep and not work.
