Well considering the fact that you have a z51 w/the Snake Charmer and Flowmasters , I think you should take him. although the ls3 has 35 more hp off the factory its only about .1 or .2 seconds quicker, you should have improved a nice .3 with the mods you have! I would have to say the ls2. But like one smart guy in here said u should race 3 times then switch off..... Genius....Brilliant !! lol

I raced an Z51 LS2 with headers/air intake/exhaust and a tune today. I have an 08 with air intake/Torco, and a tune. I pulled cleanly on him from a 60 MPH roll 3 times, as well as another longer type pull!
The LS3 is the real deal!!!

Any mods done to a LS3 would surpass the a bolt on LS2 easily. But is seems as though a bolt on LS2 and a bone stock LS3 are pretty close. Just my .02.

58 degrees and a 20 mph head wind, low humidity
Ist race
He had comp mode on I did not(trac and active on). I smoked him by 5 cars. He just smoked the tires
2nd race I had comp mode on he did not (trac and active on). He smoked me by 5 cars. I sat there and spun.
3rd race
We both had everything on he got me out of the hole and won by 1 car.
He refused to race me any more so I kept on.. raced a slight modded 02 firebird and beat him bad. Raced a 06 gt 500 w/slicks he beat me by 3 lenghts he got me outa the hole and stayed there.
Bottom line you wanna race you got to have slicks.
We all had alot of fun...I LOVE THIS COUNTRY..........

too bad you both didn't run with comp mode on as that's usually the best means of getting good results. Surprised the results show the opposite.
