Installed my newly acquired and slightly used (thanks intolerance) callaway shifter last night. It is spectacular. This is the way a corvette should shift. No more sloppy, mushy shifter action. Short precise and positive gear engagement.
The installation was a b*tch, mainly due to removal of the console after that it was pretty straight forward. I spent alot of time making sure I had the clearances perfect on the stops (.010) and I have no problem getting the car in reverse. I predict those that do may have their shifter stop tolerances too tight, just guessing though.
A big thumbs up to callaway for making driving my car that much more fun.
