???? about 2006 TPMS
I just put on a used set of tires,rims and sensors I bought from a member for track days. I drove around town and checked my tire pressures on the car and it not only still reads all 4 it has different pressures than what the other tires had read before. I did not have a reset tool so does it take a while for it to not read? It's been 3 hours now and still shows pressures and the street tires are not by the car. I'm planning on going to the shop tomorrow to have them reset but it's bugging me that it looks ok. Any ideas? Thanks

Are your other tires with sensors still in the garage near your car?
It takes a while for the car to go crazy and if you havnt trained the new sensors in the new wheels to the car, it will eventually go haywire.
If the old tires are nearby they will keep reseting the computer into thinking its all ok.
When you go for a while without any readings from a known sensor it will go to all xx's in the DIC.
Mine would do it sometimes after an hour and sometimes after a couple of days..

Thats preety much what I thought they are only 6-8 feet away now so that might be it. No worries I'm going to the tire shop today to have the new ones reset. I had them balanaced yesterday but I wanted to tape the weights and since LAPD is a week late with the jack pucks I wanted to do the jacking and the torking.
