Default Window Adjustment Question

I have a '06 Vert and my driver's window needs adjustment. Is there a way to adjust the window from front to back? The door alignment is OK but the window needs to move toward the rear of the car maybe 1/8 inch or a little more to seal properly against the rear gasket.

As it is now it's fine up to about 70mph, then I hear wind noise from the rear seal and can feel air blowing in through the rear gasket. Comparing both the driver and passenger windows I can see that the drivers window needs to be farther back to make a good seal. Someone told me he thinks there is some adjustment in the window. Can anyone verify this or the process? And if it can be done, how hard is it to remove the door panel?

Thanks!

Have you tried just simply re-indexing the window to make sure that's not the problem?

I don't have a clue about actually adjusting the entire window lift mechanism. I'm sure you can take off the door trim panel and screw around in there, but I wouldn't try it without thorough guidance from the shop manual.

Butt.....the first thing I'd do is re-index the window just to make sure that's not the problem.

Bob, thanks, yes I tried that. The window will index fine but it's just a little too far forward to seal well with the rear window gasket.

Why don't you just take it to a Chevolet dealer and have them fix it under warranty?

I'd rather do it myself and not be without my car. Plus the last time I took my car into my local dealer they damaged it and I was without it for a month.
