Not to hi-jack the thread but I was wondering what kind of speed is possible for me? My car makes just over 700, I have PS2's(345/30/19) and stock gear on an F55 car.
Good question. I keep meaning to address this. My rear tires are 26" diameter, rather than the stock 26.9".
26"=777 revs/mile
26.9"=751 revs/mile
I think 26/751=3.46% difference
As I passed the mile mark I saw 173 mph readout vs the 167 clocked. I would like to know from you physics heads and ECM techs, if the diameter of the tire makes this difference 6/173=3.46%? Or is it something else? Like the 4.10 gears.
Inquiring minds like to know
Just by simple math: if you multiple 167 x 1.0346 (100% + the 3.46% you are off b/c of the tire change), the answer is 172.7782 (rounded to 173 as indicated on your speedo). Seems your speedo would be very accurate with stock diameter tires.
Does autometer make that speedometer? I think it could hit 190 if I could go.
Judging from the HP and speed it made that day it takes alot plus an aerodydynamic car to get 200mph. A supercharged Ford GT probably makes 800?, they were just barely getting 200mph
I looked at your profile, Its a good chance you could get 190mph, you have about 300 hp more than me.
Tommys supra makes 1200 hp and I heard he got 228 mph that weekend
