Wow! To say these headers woke up my Corsa Sports would be and understatement. Up to 3000 rpm, not much difference, but 3000 and up....it sounds noticeably louder, meaner, and just plain nasty. And when I cruise in 5th or 6th at 1500 rpm, it is barely noticeable with the windows down; and with the windows up, I don't notice any change at all. If my wife is in the car, it will be very easy to keep the sound down so she doesn't give me the 'what did you do to the car look.'
If you think your exhaust is too quiet, and you are sitting on the fence with the header decision, I would have to say go for it. Plus, I enjoyed installing them myself. Don't ask me how long it took, suffice to say I started this project earlier in the week.
Time for another test drive.
Actually, I just heard that same exact combination you have on Streetfire.net today. Very, very impressive That sounded perfect in every way. Drone didn't seem like it would be a problem with this combo, atleast not for me anyway. It really did sound amazing at WOT!! She sounds like a beast, but not overly cop magnet loud. Great headers, great exhaust!
Enjoy it you lucky b*stard J/K
Love my Kooks. I don't know if other headers sound like this, but I freakin' love the sound of my engine at WOT...sounds like a cross between a NASCAR V8 and a Ferrari. Just mean. And I have the stock cans out back. I also have a FAST, which makes the engine sound much bigger than it is. A couple of folks who rode in the car were sure I had an LS7 in there. Actually, my Z06 sounds tame next to the Coupe with Kooks.
Yeah forget the sounds! LOL! The LS2 loves headers. It is our # 1 entry install mod as it is the beginning to future mods yet if you stopped with headers you got a great bang for the buck.
The mid range on the LS2 really comes alive. Typically we see about 25 RWHP and the same in torque as an average. The torque is up as soon as you whack it which makes it a great driver.
Just did Kooks this friday on my 2006 M6 pretty straight forward install only 1 problem with my headers was the mid pipe slip joints were to tight and needed to be expanded more to fit.
They seem to have woken my car up a bit forsure in the mid range. I also have my diablo predator which complimented the headers with their header tune. Pretty nice to have the power in your hand to dial you car in without a trip to the tuner after a mod.
These headers with high flow cars into my Callaway Double D make my car sound like a Ferrari or somehing really a screaming animal sound I love it I stand on it all the time now!
Glad your happy with headers we sold you. We have been selling a buch of Kooks and getting nothing but great feedback. Do you have pics?
Brandon, thanks for your customer service. I enjoyed installing these headers myself. Both you and Kooks took the time to talk me through the job and answer my new guy questions. I am very pleased.

You say you have stock cans and it is still impressive. That is good news. I would think the corsa sports probably take the sound to the next level. If I ever sell this car, I would most likely will put the stock cans back on (that would be a very simple job) to tone it down a bit. But the truth is, I plan on keeping this car a long, long time. Did I say I love my Kooks?

I had the same problem with the midpipes. It was not workable as is. I had to rent an expander for both side of the midpipe. I have mostly very good feedback for Kooks (since they asked me) but I will again mention the midpipe took a lot of time to couple both sides. My experience mating the Corsa xpipe to the corsa sports over the axle pipe was easier by far.
