I may do a swap, my B&B route 66's for some Borla stingers, just wonderd how much louder they are compared to my route 66's?

I have a A6 06 so i guess they will fit, do the stingers drone alot on a stock A6?

 

The stingers are awsome. At low speeds, idle and light acceleration they are beautiful and not a cop magnet.They however have a slight drone around 1400 - 1600 rpm. The x-pipe helps with that but does not eliminate it. At wot they are like a nascar race.

 

I just installed my Borla Stingers with the x-pipe. I did alot of reading and listening and by far this was the combo that sounded best on my car. C6 A6
I had no Drone at all.

 

Loud enough that I no longer have them. The drone was incredibly unbearable for me.

 

Maybe they drone more on a MN6 compared to a A6?

 

They are sweet music to my ears every time I drive the car! I have LGs with the Stingers and I don't think the drone is that bad at all. Just my .02. I have some clips posted on here somewhere. Cheers!

 

I like mine but with 4.10's I am rarely in the 1400 rpm range.

They are awsome until you gut the cats and add headers. Then they are still kick *** unless it is a daily driver. I'm selling mine and went for less noise. In otherwise stock form I can't think of anything better. Good luck!

06 A6 videos. I love my stingers there is some drone especially going up hill but it is not bad. I love my stingers and wouldn't trade them for anything but maybe bullets.

 

I love the Borla. Only has a drone when you are at low rpm's and try to accelerate. I just downshift anyway.Love the sound they make when you put your foot down
