Default BBP Vortex Breathless Performance Products Vortex Ram Induction System

I had the BPP Breathless Performance Products Vortex Ram Induction System before from Ernie at Breathless installed my supercharger. The Vortex Ram Induction System added 36 HP. Well worth the money. Call Ernie 954-346-6464 for pricing.

I love mine, and I agree it is well worth the money! The quality of materials is very high and fit is excellent.I got the"carbon fiber" look unit to match my fuel rail covers.I haven't had a tune yet,but the difference in power and responsiveness is noticeable.

why is this different from the callaway or Lpe or Vararam for that matter?(other than the fact that it costs more!)

Our bridge is made of a special Carbon Fiber composite material in one piece design. The competitors use a plastic bridge in a 2 part design which has a tendency of splitting where they are bonded due to the torque flex of the engine.

We also provide the complete system replacing the factory accordion and they do not give you a coupler to replace the factory accordion. The Factory accordion produce turbulence in the air stream which in reduces velocity of the air.

We also use a special conical filter with filtration material at the tip. On the inside we even have a merge cone designed to increase velocity and volume. Most of our competitors use a flat filter which has great volume but lacks in velocity. You have to have the two to make good power.

Last. Even the location of our system is better. Our box mounts at the highest location of the shroud. You receive a template and cut an opening about 10 X 10 to which the box gets bolted. Now you pick up the cold air from the complete volume of lower air dam. Our competitors like to drop the system which does nothing to the power level. Some even use a scoop which reduces the volume of the air coming in and raises the chances of water ingestion.

If you go to our site you will find customer testimonials with track results and dyno results.

Holds the record for Nevada high speed event 205 mph. Holds record for bolt on modified C6 at 10.30 @ 134 in 1/4 mile.

1st place winner at BG's BeachBend Raceway for the Air Box challenge 6 years in row !!!

Guess they are scared to show up for the challenge.

Bottom line it is a proven system on the track and dyno, It is a factory quality product and easy to install. This system has been around for 9 years. Since we started manufacturing this product we have attended all the major corvette events. We also install the system at these events so the customer can hit the track with a before and after to see the difference.

Last I recall I have not seen one other manufacture at the BG, Ky Corvette events installing there units. Guess they do not want to the results compared to the Vortex when the customer runs the car at Beachbend Raceway down the street.

Just installed it. Previous 06 C6 had Vararam. The BPP Vortex unit is of a much higher Quality and the installation was easier than the Vararam. This BPP Vortex unit is actually less expensive then the competetive units on the LS3's. When you purchase the Vararam for the LS3, you must purchase the ZO6 model, much more expensive than the standard C6. BPP Vortex also came with a coupler that replaces tha stock accordian hose(nice touch). On the bling side--very sexy--carbon fiber one piece Vortex bridge and I chose the clear air box rather than the carbon fiber. This unit appears to be well engineered and appears to have the largest opening in the shroud (10x10)---so that fresh cold air can do its job.

Couple q's. it seems all the other brands use the same unit for the '08 and the z06.What's different about yours? Also, with that big hole in the shroud, how dusty does the engine compartment get?One last q. why does noone refer to this unit when comparing CAI's? Thanks

I can't answer all the questions but I can answer...... "with that big hole in the shroud, how dusty does the engine compartment get?" It doesn't the colector box is nicly sealed to force all the air into the air filter. As far as the last question goes..... I think this product is a sleeper so please don't tell everyone how good it is or we might lose our edge at the track

I think that you must see an installed BPP Vortex unit to fully understand how the unit compares to others, Your the only one that you must satisfy. This is a sealed unit and all the outside air that comes in is collected in a sealed box. Dirt and dust from outside does not enter the engine compartment. The 100 square inch opening forces air through a special cone shaped filter with a built in venturi and then through a carbon fiber air bridge. I also wonder why this product is not commenly discussed . Nice Quality, sound engineering, Looks good and yes it works.

Thank you for the compliment on the unit. We do feel that this unit has the highest quality and the most powerful on the market. We have proven it on Nevada top speed runs, Drag racing and on the road corse. We actual put challenges together every year for the C5-6 Bash at BG, KY event. They have a local track which they hold drag racing at every Corvette event, guess what, no one shows but us. I guess they like to hide behind there 40+ horsepower ads...lol

We have had numerous customers that have done the testing for us by having the other systems then going to ours only to find they get more power with the Vortex system. Most of these testimonials are on our website. By the way all our products are made here in the USA.

We were the first ram induction system designed for the C5-C6 and Z06.
