Default Any body know who makes a replacement filter for 08?

I'm going to keep the stock CAI. Any body know who sells a better flowing filter, or could make me a custom one? K&N doesn't make one.

I cut the silencer part off my 08s cai, and plugged it. I'm going to go with the Vette air delivering cooler air the stock CAI I believe. I just need a filter that isn't as restrictive.

I did the same modification as you. There is one vender that makes a replacement filter for the ZO6. The ZO6 Cai and the LS3 are the same. The filter replacement was around $190. I just won't spend that much money on something that should cost no more than $50. The stock filter allthough restrictive is not all that bad. Just had my car at track this weekend(1/4 mile). 12.1's @ 116mph on a hot muggy day in South Florida. Equipped with stock CAI, Vettair, Mellrose header and Mike Norris tune. Sorry I can't remember vender for the replacement filter. I will research it and get back to you.

Same here, the vette-air really gives it a lift! takes a little for computer
tolearn.

I'm back! After a little researh. Halltech (F1P30Z) foam filter for racing applications from Lethal Performance---$ 189. If they reduced their price they may sell a few more. If you install a Vette air and this replacement filter you will be over $300 out of pocket. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! $350 is better than $520 I guess. The stock CAI looks like it flows well. Any more info will be helpful if you guys learn anything else.

Thanks again. I can always count on this forum and the people on it.

The 08 has a big silencer built on it on the passenger side, Cut it off even with the line from the factory, and go to your autozone, advanced auto parts, or what ever and get a pipe plug. Can't remember the exact size but it fits perfect without restricting flow and it plugs up the hole nice. Then you will have a great flowing cai, you just need a better flowing filter.
