Default Need mod advice

Ok so here are current mods
06 A6 with Kooks 1 3/4 long tubes and Borla Stingers

I have a little extra money and am trying to decide between one of these 2 options.

1
Ported Stock intake and TB
CAI (honker)
160 Degree Tstat
Tune

or
2
Ported Fast 90 and wait on the CAI and tune for a couple months. Possibly wait to put the Fast on untill I can get the money together for the tune and CAI

Thanks for any advice.

I love the Kooks hindsight being what it is I might have gone with the 1 7/8 instead but they sound great and seemed to go in very quickly. (shop installed but I watched them do it)

In my opinion your only option since you have kooks and a cat back system is to put in the 160 stat get an air intake of your choice and get it tuned. Now if you're never going to do another MOD then go ahead and port the stock manifold and TB. little gain. On the other hand if a cam and springs are in your future save your money, don't do the porting and get the FAST. Cam and FAST work well together. By that time you should be making 425rwhp/405rwtq. You can stop there or now you have everything in place to get the most out of a set of heads. Many vendors to choose from. For LS2 type heads I like the 215 ET heads. Actually this is how I did my LS2 motor, in stages. Since I didn't want of cover the same realestate twice this is pretty much the order of events I did to get to the end of my LS2 modding. It produced461rwhp/435rwtq and it was a daily driver. Since then, for reasons unknown, I decided to put a forged 427 in my 05 Z51. This time though it's going to stay the way it went in, completely modded at the beginning. Oh BTW, when you add more items to your car, remember the tune monster will bite you everytime. It's the nature of the beast a retune, not quite as expensive as the first, but still has to be done. So think about your options and look down the road it will save you time and $$$ in the long run.

My plan is to eventually put an ATI on it or do heads and cam. I havn't decided yet. I think the blower would do better at this altitude then heads/cam but it is also quite a bit more money.

My goal is to get the car into the 12s at altitude but I would like to keep the stock gearing.

BTW i am hoping to only tune 2 times. Once when i get my intake stuff done and once when I get either the blower or heads and cam.
