I guess what i am trying to get are the Con`s of both. What i mean by that is, are there cooling issues with a Blower or H/C? Oil temps?
Now with the FUN part
Which package gives you the edge from light to light on the street or say 1/8 mile? Which packages gives the best usable power off idle? Which package is the best for the 1/4? I am not one of those thrill seekers that runs up to say 170 mph, but i am one of those seekers of 10 second 1/4 runs at 130`s Thanks for the posts so far

I think it's pretty safe to assume....a blower car is not maximized for the 1/8 mile. With either you "can" have traction problems until you master the feather. Head and cam will probably start quicker but there is no substitute for the power pull of a blower at the top end.
There isn't much of an advantage of one over the other. Power is power. It's all about personal preference and I prefer a blower.
Sorry for the hijack but could you PM me with your other mods? your car reads VERY stout with 569 RWHP Thanks in advance.
Tony B4. I'm going NA with new mods (H/C etc.) but I'm still kickin' around adding a SC in the far future. Must be a glutten for punishment! and oh yea no extra dollars as it will all go to the damn SC! Good luck whichever you choose!

I have not had what I would call a real cam/heads car in the past, but did have a nice Saleen twin screw on my 4.6 06 mustang. The low end was just soooo sweet, and the whine of the screws was kickass on a hard charge. BUT... I had my own tuning software, and kept adding smaller pullies for more boost. I ended up with about 500 crank ponies, and couls no longer sleep knowing I was on the edge of destruction with every run. Blowers just rock, if you never had one, think about it hard. I have been playing with hotrods for 20+ yrs, and have owned most of the favorite street cars.
I did sell the mustang, and picked up the vette planning on no mods for a while. Well, my damn company just got aquired, and now have some extra $$ from options so it very well looks like I will be going down the APS twins road. I never had a turbo, but I think it would be fun to tune, and is an area I have not tread in yet. The science and challenge is important to me at this point, but have high standards when it come to real power. Turbos seem to cost more when done right, nitrous is for the impatient/lazy, or just plain $ to go fast crowd, but as I said, if you have not owned a well tuned SC, they can be a lot of fun.
I am still weighing in on if I want to pull the trigger on the APS, but the temptation is strong, I guess I just need to see a sale and I would jump...
I know its not an option you listed but Nitrous is tons of fun too. I have the best of both worlds. Reliable and tame na motor but an 11.3 @124 when the dope sprays. All on a conservative 125 dry shot
Had an 03 Cobra Convertible before my C6. I miss the supercharger and massive low end torque. Don't get me wrong, I love my vette and the smooth ride and awesome control. That said, nothing beats a blown car for instant and awesome torque! Additionally the sound is awesome! Planning a maggie upgrade for my car in the near future!
Cheers
i had the exact same car too before the c6... i feel the same way.. i miss that torque!! instant torque!
Coming from FI back in my Japanese turbo car days, I think H&C is more fun, simply because it is less worry. Don't have to worry about boost control, AFR, whether the BAP is working right, whether the injectors are going to overheat / fail because they are at 95% IDC, oil temps, water temps, IATs etc etc etc.
Just nail the throttle and get that big grin every time.
From: NJ..."the way I saw it, everyone takes a beating sometimes."

I've had S/C and Turbo(all on the same car actually) so I know the difference in each. I was sick of the constant worrying and fine tuning. FI definately has it's benefits but no more throwing boost at non-forged motors for me. My vote is for H/C or cubes.....or both.
