When i installed my VR i removed the shroud. It was a bitch getting it out but easy getting it in. I subsequently removed the bottom part of the shroud because the dotted line on the template was a bit confusing
and i simply cur it off the template . Even so i still had to open the shroud more to accomodate the air box. I also ussed the VR spacer
and that works. Will be posting more on that.
As far as the condensor is concerned when you put the new one in
dont forget the A/C system will have to be leak checked and a VAC
pulled on the system before the refrigerant and some oil is added. Very
important because moisture will wreck your aA/C system. Make sure
a competent, qualified person does this. VERY IMPORTANT.
shouldn't be a problem... the friend who accidentally punctured the condensor is a certified technician, believe it or not.
he's coming over with a new condensor to install later on today. i'll be sure to remind him to do those things though. thanks for the heads up!
