You guys are talking about 4:10 gears; I think you're going to spin more coming out in first gear, won't you? Unless you're talking about racing from a roll, which is not really drag racing, starting at 20 or 30 MPH...Also, if you're thinking of adding nitrous, it's better to have the stock gears, provided you have stick, which is 3:42's

before i did this mod i always heard of the seat of the pants feeling
or just feeling like it has more power and more torque but not really be any faster or have more power
but the c6 is a lot faster in a drag race with gears, its not just the feeling, its faster for real

ive heard of an 05 a4 with 373 gears taking a 07 z before in the 1/4......
cost is about 2k........this is a great mod, best for the money
like the op said its too much power now.....
the shift from 1st to 2nd pulls so hard it feels scary
even from 2nd to 3rd youll be doin about 90mph
and it just pulls in 3rd on the freeway......
dont really need to do anything else,
im not trying to go from 120-180 faster,

i have the 05 a4 373 and it will fly off the line
compared to a stock c6, it will smoke a stock c6

Great mod congrats, mine was done with chuck last year, still holding up. Car hooks better, even with all my mods, which include a moderate cam (228-232) and ported Fast 90 intake.

Traction is an issue from a stop ... no doubt. I suppose you would want tires at the strip to handle the spin. On the street, however, it comes alive with the 4.10's and, in this situation, you are often moving when you want to apply power. The improvement in response is incredible.No way I would ever go back to the stock 3:42's.

4.10's with Cartek H/C package plus numerous other mods resulting in 462.5 RWHP. Even with 345 Michelin PS2's on the rear, I'll still spin in 2nd with WOT. Shifting hard into 3rd and lifting the throttle, the car breaks traction. This past weekend I averaged 26.3 MPG on a road trip. Keep in mind that I was driving for gas mileage.

If your car is already tuned and you get the 4.10's would you reccomend a re-tune? ,,,,,,,, def. cant wait to do this after the winter and get some new tires. I here great things about chuck and my buddy went to him recently for a tune with very immpressive results.
