yes with headers and tm delete on the tune. Big difference in mine (06 a6) especially getting tm tuned out on the shifts.

Without a tune I picked up 26 rwhp, which you can feel. However, I picked up 39 pound feet of torque which is a huge change in the midrange. I'd recommend the LG Pro Long Tubes, they have shown the best gains in torque and horsepower.

Haven't seen where they do any better than the Kook's 1 3/4's.
The comparo they were doing was 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8.
Run a search and You will find "show me your numbers"
and there is about 20 cars dynoing with really similar mods, All
ls-2's but I took all the numbers, Like 4-5 kooks 2-3 Lg's 2-3 Dynomax different size tubes. Mod per mod the Kook's showed best plus call
a few big tuners like Cartec etc. They like to run Kook's.
plus they install So nice! 378 stock. 428rwhp 429 rwtq with KOOk's same Dyno
backed up with 421 on a Mustang Dyno!

No argument from me that Kooks make the same power. Where the LG's shine is mid range torque.

Ted,
100%. I also had headers but added Corsa catback and Hi-Flo cats as well. Along with the tune and the TM removed you will get a fabulous SOTP way beyond stock.

Charles you will not regret it... Honest Injun!

Ted,
Forgot to mention, I travel daily to my shop in Bartlett, bet we have waved one time or another!

Cost of the headers, tune and install will be $2095. Next will be cam and heads.

4:10'S would be over the top with a A6, but maybe after the heads-cam i will do 3:15's.

I did not feel a huge gain sotp imo, though the dyno showed an nearly 40rwhp and 40rwtq gain from my header/intake/tune install. I must've got used to the power quickly.

I love my Kooks headers and Corsa Sports. The sound of WOT going from 2000 through 4500 rpm is worth it all. SOTP is way subjective. For me, the biggest SOTP feeling was when I sat at my desk and looked at my credit card bill after the exhaust system purchase and install.

I've offten wondered if the sotp feeling would be more from the tune and tm removed than the headers. Especialy if tm was hindering our cars enough. Just a thought.

My tuner says removing most of TM should help alot, and also doing a tranny tune will help.

Default Headers Or Tune Increase ???

I recently installed headers and did not notice a SOTP difference
although the car sounded entirely different. I then installed a
predator 93 header tune and did notice a difference. Sometimes our expectations and anticipation of that additional HP can be deceiving.

There definitly seems to be some mixed feelings about headers on here. That is why i will probably try a tune and t-stat first.
