Anyway, looking for lighter (and possibly wider) wheels keeping stock diameters front and rear. I do happen to like the look of the stock 07 Z06 wheels (in competition gray) but I am not that interested in changing out the fenders to accommodate wider wheels.
Anyone know what quality wheels are available and good vendors to utilize? If you have pics of your car with some aftermarket wheels, feel free to post - it may give me some ideas.
I am intending in using non-RFs tires. Car NEVER sees inclement weather and I use it appx 4k miles per year. I was thinking about some serious Ultra Hi Perf Summer tires. Recommendations?
Thanks for the info. Both sets of wheels look very nice. If you don't mind revealing the info, where did you get the wheels and what did you pay? Do you know the weight?
I don't know the weight as that was not important to me but I can tell you HRE's are probably the most expensive wheels you can purchase. They just happend to be the ones I like but they are meticulously made 3 piece wheels and the customer services is great. I live in Canada and asked them for recommendation for a dealer here to purchase off of and they recommeneded a company in Calgary called tunerworks but if you call them I am sure they can recommend a dealer in your area. As well there are a number of CF vendors that will sell HRE's.
You can expect to pay $6K plus just for the wheelsif you are looking at HRE. Fikes are a little cheaper but still a premium wheel compared to others. Fikes are the only other rims I considered they are a great wheel as well.
I don't think you can go wrong either way if you are looking for something a little exclusive. Think of other rims like buying a Seiko watch but Fiske or HRE's like buying a Rolex. Either brand will tell time accurately but there is a difference in the craftsmanship and if you feel it is worth paying a premium for that and the exclusivity great if not there lots of other great wheels that are less expensive.

Again, these are a three piece wheel, and those are true bolts, not a 'fake rivet'.
As far as cleaning them, it isn't that bad with this wheels. The race cars will probably see more dust than any of us will see in a life time and it doesn't take me long to get the cars ready for a show if we are taking them out to a local event. A good quality soft wheel brush or even just a little bit with a soft towel will clean everything up. The chrome lip keeps the outer easy to work with, the polished ones you will have to polish about like the exhaust tips, again depending on how the car is driven.
