Default What is the Best ??

Hi guys,,
Recently i bought 2005 C6 manual transmission, and i want to install intake, headers, and Cat Back. I don't have any experience about what's the best, I’ll appreciate you helping me of choosing what is the best:
1- Headers
2- Intake
3- Cat Back

Thanks Guys.

headers will give you the most bang for the buck, intake is the cheapest mod but gives good power too, exhaust will change the sound the most.

I went with headers first.

If you like a higher exhaust note then the Corsa Sports are the way to go. As far as intakes I have no experience with the Hurricane but I do know the Vararam has been proven to reduce 1/4 mile times by 3 tenths and add 3 mph to your trap speed. As far as headers you really can't go wrong with any of the major brands (LG, ARH, KOOKS, ect). I do believe the LG's do make the most TQ out of any of the Lt's.

Run a search, find "show me the numbers post"!
read and write down all 15 or so dyno's. Mod for mod compare! When you study the numbers!
Kooks came out on top!
Plus they fit and are top quaility. Go with Maryland speed too.
Get the headers coated!& a Vararam. Top deal was there too.

You'll get varied opinions as tastes vary and there are several quality brands.

I prefer LG Pro long tube headers (coated); Lingenfelter CAI; and, the Corsa Sport exhaust. These components work very well for me.

I've got a Vararam that was taken off my car when I had a supercharger put on about a month or so ago. It was on my car for approx a year, perfect condition (nothing can really happen to them ) I've also got the pre-cut shroud, and spacer all sitting in a box. If you are interested in buying it shoot me a pm. I'll let it go for $225 including shipping. On the vararam site it lists the unit at $399.95 + spacer+ precut shroud. (I think the shroud and spacer were around another $100).

Headers - LG Motorsports
Cold Air Intake - Callaway Honker
Exhaust - I prefered to keep my stock unit and still have a nice sound.

Here is what I did, and now, what I would do differently. I installed a set of Corsa Sports and xpipe, Vararam, and 160*tstat all at once. In my opinion, the corsa sports were not loud enough. So 2 months later I installed (myself) a set of Kooks headers/high flow cats/xpipe. Holy cow, the sound is much louder. I usually love it, but....I wish I had installed the Kooks headers/cats/xpipe and kept my stock mufflers. THEN if I needed more sound I could just put on the corsa sports and have saved $350 or so on the corsa xpipe. There are moments I really like the sound, and then there are moments (like when my wife if with me) that it is a bit much. Makes me appreciate the concept of the 2008 mild to wild npp exhaust options. The corsa sports have no drone, a big plus, but the sound is European/formula. Not the classic muscle car. My advice, don't rush into any system, see if you can listen to different setups in person (audio clips are limited value) before you take the plunge. Unless money is no object, then just go for it.

If you tune your c6 can you show me the result's and tell me how many RHP will get when you installed the headers, corsa, and Hurricane?

One more thing what's your headers type ? is it Setpped headers or the normal, and is it 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 ??

Now that is a damn good deal, sure wish I saw this before I got my Vararam.
