Default Auto Window Retraction When Door Opened... HELP

Hey guys. I'm new here... joined because everyone seemed knowledgeable. I don't have a C6, but I do have an XLR and since they're assembled in the same plant, and share at least the same door handle mechanism, I figured they're might be some similarities and you guys might be able to steer me in the right direction.

I don't know if the function has a name, but when you open the doors in our cars, the window retracts the 1/2" or so before the door opens. My passenger door works fine, retracts when opened, raises when closed. However my drivers door will retract when open, but will not raise when closed. I can hear a relay in the dash (pass side) flutter a time or two when it trys to, but it never rolls up. I can manually roll the window up and it will retract when opened again.

Any ideas or input? Is it simply a relay? Is there a module for this that contains the relay???

Thanks guys.

Its called reindexing the windows. Your owners manual will have the procedures. Its really simple.

IIRC..you raise the window and hold the switch in the up position for three seconds then release.

Hope that fixes the window indexing on the XLR. It won't fix it on the C6.

JasonZ, check the owner's manual for Window Indexing.

Perfect for the first half!

Now after doing what you said, immediately pull up AGAIN on the switch for 3 seconds and release it to do all of the steps to index the C6 windows.

The re-indexing procedure works for me on my C6.
