Default Oil Filter Problem

Went to change the oil and filter today. Decided to try the Mobil 1 filter which the catalog referenced me to ( #M1 107 and double the price by the way vs the A/c Delco ). The filter will not thread on, no way. Went to the Mobil 1 site and under filter recommendations, they don't even list thier own filters! Fram and Purolator only. Should have just gotten the A/C Delco on the shelf right next to it. Will know better next time! Too bad I filled the damn thing with oil before I tried to put it on.

Your 07 has a different filter than the 05 and 06. It looks like you bought a filter for the wrong years.

Just did an oil change on my 07 last weekend...I got my Mobil 1 filter from Pep Boys. I had the guy at the parts counter look it up since it wasn't in their little customer refrence computer. I can't remember the part # but I'm sure if you call up any Pep boys they can look it up for you for next time.

All 2007s and 2008s for all corvette engines now use the PF48 which has a different mounting thread than the older PF44/UPF44/PF46. I agree the replacement M1 filter for the PF48 is the 113. The M1-107 is only for the PF44/UPF44/PF46 replacement.

I've used this one twice, no problems with my 2007.

Sounds like it wasn't an oil filter problem but operator error. I installed the M113 about 2 weeks ago. It fit just fine.

Default Oil Filter Problem Update

I brought the oil filled #107 back to Advance Auto Parts, showed them in the Mobil 1 catalog that it shows the #107 for the 07 Corvette. He looked it up on his computer and it showed #113. He gave me full credit on the oil filled #107 for the #113. Installed it yesterday, no problem. So much for "operator error".
