computer tuning???

I have a c5 z06 and my dad is determined to beat me. He has a 05 auto vert. He is putting on ghl exhasut and the k&n cai on monday. The local performance shop suggested that he do a custom tune. Is it worth the $375 to do a custom tune? Will he notice the difference?

Yes it is and yes he will.Those other mods won't do squat for power.

The mods he put on will do very little. c5z has 405 fwhp and the c6
has 400fwhp. In drag races the earlier z usually ran about a tenth sec
quicker than the c6. On the other hand it appears that automatics have
been running faster than their mn6 counterparts. Should be an interesting run just the same.

my guess:

should be very close race w/o his tune

he wins by 2-3 hairs with = rt (tuned)
