track conditions and weather can account for about 0.5 seconds at times....
but i'd say somewhere in the 11s... 11.3 - 11.8

If you've never raced at a track just expect 12s.

Are you running on stock C6 runflats? I assume you've tuned your shift-points so you're not bumping the rev-limter at 6,500 RPMs or lost your power band by 6,900 RPMs? I'm not a drag racer but I always assume someone (myself included) will run slower than one might think (I'd rather be pleasantly surprised).

Why not go to a drag strip and find out. Let us know how you do.

So you think he'll run Z06 times or better just with just the power he's has in a C6. It would be nice but I wouldn't bet on it.

If you're launching those runflats @ 6900 rpm...I'd say you may run into the wall or across the lane. Asking what you may run at the track is very open-ended, we don't know your driving skill, we don't know track conditions, we don't know what tires you're running. I've seen Z06s run everything from 13's to 11's and C6s run between 14's and 11's, modded or unmodded. It has alot to do with the driver and the track/weather conditions.

I have the same hp and tq almost exactly (436/392). With a 2.0 60 you will get 12.2 if you can shift pretty well. I can show you a few slips to support that information as my clutch was acting up last week and my best 60 was 1.9 for a couple of 12.0's @ 120+. I'm guessing you have a big cam only. I find the big cam harder to launch cleanly than the stock cam.

If you want an 11 you need to get a 1.6 or 1.7 with that level of HP. But it can be done with practice I used to do it all the time with my stock cam and less power.

UMMM I DONT THINK SO BECAUSE I RAN A 12.6 AT 115 WITH A 2.2 60 FT, AND THAT WAS WITH 367RWHP AND 366TQ SHIFTING AT 6500 RPM. I THINK I COULDA RAN A 12.2 BACK THEN WITH A GOOD HOLW SHOT.

Maybe so. Good luck and keep practicing. If you get a 1.7 you will be in the 11's so focus on your launching. That's where the ET will be found.

Also, it heavily depends on the driver. Read Ranger's guidelines about the importance of practice. In addition, I think optimal shift points may vary on a modified engine.

If you didn't want to listen to someone with experience and almost the same exact hp/tq as you who has made 1/4 mile passes, then why post? Do you just want someone to say..."man, that thing will be in the 10's" just to be able to say that someone thinks it may be in the 10's? As an earlier post states, take it to the track and post up results. You never know for sure until you finish the 1320ft....

Here's my guess: Scotty is going to stage, bring up the revs too high, spin the tires in first, let off, get back on it and spin them again, hit second, spin them again, and then run a really fast 13.5 seconds at 112 mph!

Hey, it's just my guess. The only way to know what you are going to run is to actually go run.

There are folks with that amount of horsepower, only going 13's. Your car is very capable of running 11's, but can you do it. 11 second is very quick for a street car. Just be happy if you attain 11.9.

With a 2.0 60ft , I dont think he will be in the 11's , not even close , I would say mid-low 12's . Just my opinion , and track conditions and elavation will also factor in

I would place a wager you are correct.

Learning to pilot your car from 13 seconds to mid 12's is pretty easy. To go to 11.8 like I did is harder - adding power makes the launch harder. Ask me how I know.

In the 3 years I've been doing this in a 6 speed Vette I have developed a true respect for those that can get a 1.6 or 1.5 without breaking stuff. It is true finesse with the clutch and shifting. You can add power easily- to get it down the track is another thing.

I've also noticed that natural ability has something to do with it like some people pick up a golf club and naturally hit it 275. Unfortunately I'm not like that so I have to practice a lot! But that makes the victory of a perfect pass or a rare for me 1.6 that much sweeter for me.

p.s. appreciate the props Evilways! You've come a long way yourself.
