Why wouldn't the Vararam and a ported FAST be good or better than the honker and stock ported intake and tb for street/twisty use?

It could be, but didn't compute for my personal cost-benefit analysis.

I had a Vararam a changed to a LPE. The quality of the Vararam can't compare to a LPE or Callaway.

Notice any performance differences whether it be on the track, dyno, or SOTP?

Fast intake and ported tb is good for 20R WHP

VARARAM IS PRETTY MUCH PROVEN TO BE SUPERIOR THAN OTHER
INTAKES . TRUE RAM AIR NOT JUST A FILTER.

Then how do you explain the fact that out of 71 bolt-on cars in the sticky at the top of this section, I have the 2nd highest MPH 119.36 in the 1/4 which is usually a measure of hp and I have a Honker? Matter of fact I don`t even have gears which bolt-on cars can have in the list and usually increase mph in the 1/4.

It seems like you have similar mods:YELLOW 2007 C6 LS2 MODS INCLUDE VARARAM CAI,
PORTED TB & INTAKE BY JEREMY FORMOTO, BORLA
STINGERS & LG LT'S , AND DIABLO PREDATOR USER

So what has your best mph been?

You actually have more mods than me, a/m mufflers and a ported TB. Not to mention your intake is pro ported and mine was done by myself.

WELL I have to give credit where credit is due.. The times you turned
is exceptional for the mods you have. I have not even tested ny car via
dyno or 1/4 mile. I look foreward to the spring when i WILL try THE QUARTER MILE TO SEE THE RESULTS OF MY MODS. congrats ON YOUR
RESULTS. iLL KEEP TRYING AND POST WHEN AL MY MODS ARE COMPLETE.

Thanks. I personally beleive its a matter of preference as long as its a true cold air intake. Such a Honker, Vararam, or LPE. Halltech, blackwing and K&N are not true CAI and would not add as much power with the hood closed. I just prefered the fit and finish of the Honker.

Actually the FAST shines even more on the street than a 1/4 mile.

Here is a comparison of the PORTED FAST vs. a PORTED LS2:
bottom line is the ported LS2 top line is a ported FAST

The midband gains of the ported FAST over the ported LS2 are an additional 20rwhp and the TQ gains down in the midband are even better.

In the above graph the only difference was the manifolds. 9rwhp and 17rwtq is the difference if you mistakenly reduce the numbers to what is at peak. At it highest gain it is 20rwhp and 25rwtq OVER the LS2. The power differences in the midband are staggering by comparrison to peak numbers. The top line is the FAST and LG headers with a tune and the botom is a ported LS2 with no other changes.

Some will still say the difference is "only 9hp" when in reality the above graph tells a very different story at 4500rpms. A ported LS2 is an accountant's choice, a ported FAST is a mechanic's choice.

The gains in the midband are at least as good as any set of headers which cost more. It is a bargain for the midband power especially for the real world street driving most people do. Its a mod that s easily felt.

Since the midband is so much stronger, street use will benefit even more than a 1/4 mile track. Ls3 guys dont have a FAST choice yet so a ported stocker will make a great jump as it did for my L92 heads. When the FAST L92 comes out, I am first on the list.
