I don't know about you, but its a pita to get in my trunk sometimes. Either it dosen't pop up high enough or you got to dig your fingers in a little crack to lift it up. And then theres the smudges you leave on the trunk.

Well, I totally agree with you. Either I slam it to shut it without "touching" and leaving fingerprints OR I gently close it while holding a cloth to stop smudges and scratches on the top of the lid. I would install ANYTHING in a heartbeat to have the trunk batten itself down after the lid makes contact with the latch.

I'm going to look into this, too. In the meantime, I'm having the 3M film installed, and I asked for them to add a ~4" simi-circle of film on the rear edge of the trunk lid, directly over the latch, to protect the paint where I push down with my palm,
