Default Water Pump Replaced

My water pump shaft was leaking and the dealer replaced it. I swear it seems that the car is running about 10* wamer, but still in spec. never really followed the coolant temp on the DIC, just the guage. Now it seems to run between from 190* driving and 210* at idle at about 40* ambient. Everything seems in spec. i.e. fan kicks in about 205*. etc. Referred to Tech Manual Chapter 6 and temps are within limits, but I searched forum and many other C6's with 195* stat seemed to run cooler. My stat is stock. Comments? Thanks.

Your temp sounds normal to me.

Sounds about normal. All cars will vary a little. Mine always seemed to run a little hotter than others on the forum. I am actually upgrading mine right now to an aftermarket that should flow 2-3 times what the stock one does because my car runs hot due to lots of mods and my driving style.....driving style and what rpm range you drive in can make a big difference.

What aftermarket pump are you talking about, surely not electric?

not electric.....i'm not sure what brand. The guys at Cartek are adding my S/C and they suggested an upgrade. I told them it sounded like a good idea. I'll find out what they are putting on.
