A 2.04 launch should still be good for 12s in 70 degree weather...it isnt your launch that is killing you.
With that launch he can definitely reach 12's. My best run in my 06 Z51 is 13.1 and that was on a HOT sunny day and no burnout. Your A6 should get you off the line with no issues. I know my car can get into the 12's and so can yours. You just need track time.
Oh, I take mine all the way down the track in 3rd and shift to 4th right at the sign to cruise to the end of the track.

A 2.04 isn't stellar by any means but isn't too bad either, it was likely your coolant temps that played a large part in slowing you down (I'd forgotten to mention that in the PM to you). While idling/waiting in the staging lanes the coolant/IAT temps heat up a lot and won't come back down until either the car sits for a while or it gets back up to speed again to get some airflow into the nose. I'm guessing that your temps were well over 210 degrees when you made that pass?
