Default Injector duty cycle

What should the target max be during WOT runs? I'm seeing 80% now and one run I saw 90% briefly. My take on this is that my next mod should probably include bigger injectors? Is that right?

I wouldn't run over 85%.

I'm not sure what mods you have but I lowered my inj. duty cycle 4% and increased 10 hp just by adding water/methanol injection on my NA LS2. Of course this requires tuning for W/I. Another bonus is lowering the IAT tremendously.

The general threshold is 80% so you're pushing it if you saw one at 90.

BTW there is a new smart W/I controller that will be available for NA engines in about a month. The boost model is on the market now.

pm for more info.

I'm at 80% with 40lb'ers N/A now. The stock 32's were fairly maxxed out before the swap but still wasnt causing a lean condition. The draw back to the higher duty cycle is heat. If you dont live at WOT all the time and just punch it on the street once in a while it doesnt really matter as long as you arent running lean up top.

My wideband sensor is coming Friday so maybe this weekend I'll get out and find out if I'm lean. I seriously doubt it as I don't think Julio would let that happen.

So stockers are 32, you've got 40. What options are there for injectors that don't require a bunch of gymnastics to get them in. Anything bigger that 40? I'm thinking about putting the FAST intake on myself over the winter and then in the spring getting a Cartek heads/cam package. I'll have them port the intake to match the heads at that time. If I have to pull the injectors for the intake I'm thinking I might as well do that all together.

I've got the basic bolt-ons now on my LS2. Headers, intake, stat, tune. Not too crazy about water/meth injection, though.

your right about that, any tune Julio does is safe. if he thought you needed injecters he would have told you, their is no reason not to tell you, you would have said put them in, and they would make more money, so i would say you dont need them

Right. I know I'm OK now. I'm thinking about my next mods. Should I be including them when I think about heads/cam?
