Default 08 C6 Electronic Computer Modular

I have had my new vette for three day's and 300 miles. The engine light came on and I brought it to the dealer. The service manager said that it is the electronic computer modular. The part is on back order. Will not see it till the end of december due to some 45 other request for this same problem.Has anybody else had this problem on the new 2008 engines?

The Corvette has several different "computer modules" and without being more specific, I don't think anyone here can help you.

I know 2 guys with 08's that have misfire probs. Still in diagnostics. Maybe they will need a computer module too. They have had a real bad time with it.....

Sorry about the backorder

Mark me down for another with a bad idle. And in particular when the fan turns on 50% or more. I have HP Tuners. When I program it in Open Loop, fan off, idle is much better. Almost satisfactory. But when the fan comes on with the factory tune or my tune idle is totally unsatisfactory. Unfortunately I get no code or engine light to lead me to the source.

I've had a bad idle since I've had my 08. Unfortunately, eager to make it faster I installed an intake and headers before taking it in. Called a local dealer, told them I had an intake and headers but they said to bring it in that the mods would not be a problem for warranty work. As would be, they kept it for four days running all kinds of tests. They could find nothing wrong. In the end they blamed it on the intake. They would not believe me that idle was unsatisfactory before the intake or headers.

Dealer said that 45 sensors are on back order .Seems like a big problem.

What sensor? I would be willing to buy the sensor and install it myself if I knew it would solve my problem.

maccat,

Did you notice any problems with the way the car was running that may have triggered the engine light or did the engine light just come on?

Did the dealer find any codes?

I'm not 100% sure about the 2008 but those codes might be for the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low/high Frequency.
