It was more than 3 screens because the first one was done fo free in September. Maybe if you asked a few questions on the background before commenting on what you didnt read over the last few months and knew how to do a proper search you wouldn't have such comments. No offense taken if you want one done for yourself. When typing its difficult to get a sense of 'nasty' in a message. I keep forgetting one simple fact: When I was in the police academy they taught us that if you are in a public transportation facilty. people wil come up to you and ask the most common question; wher is the mens room? You have to remember that the guy asking didnt ask you 100 times, its 100 different people. It is still annoying because it says bathroom in 2 languages and has a picture to boot. You can be standing in front of a bathroom and they ask.

I posted the graph showing how miserable the ported stocker compares to the ported FAST and still people post the LS2 is a better bargain cost basis. OK. So i post the info in 3 threads and people still persist with the same things.....its 300 to port it, you have to cut the firewall, you need adapters for the fuel rails, you need to relocate the MAP, it leaks. NOPE.

I'm trying to help. Stop the soap box comments and read a thread before making comments. Had you PM'ed me, I would have sent you the link and offered my services or free. From headers to prepping FASTs, I am sharing. I dont make money doing these FAST manifolds. Why do I feel azz raped? I did a DIY thead and this install was done free of charge for the prep, parts, and install. I went to dinner, and made friends. I dont care if you or anyone else wants it or thinks its good. For the guys that want it, I will state when myths are beng perpetuated and help them.

Craig asked me when you contacted him if I would do one for you....yes. He told you to contact me because I said it was OK.Still can be that way.....I'm a Christian. I tried to PM you with an appology but you dont get PM's. Contact Craig if you want me to prep one.
This is an excellent post. Thanks, Spin.

If my friend SpinMonster is on a soap box, it's because he has something to say. Okay, it's also because he's only 5' 8." Got some big 'ol arms, though. I suppose he can be a bit, ahem, strong-willed. That said, he is a prince of a guy who loves Corvettes, Corvette-owners and children enough to mod our cars in exchange for a donation to a charity! If I didn't know better, I'd say that he was sent by Santa Claus. This sport needs more people like SpinMonster. So much for Spin. This thread is about the FAST manifold.

The FAST delivers significant mid-range torque, ported or unported. With Spin's porting, it delivers a lot more just where 95% of us need it. SPIN installed my FAST and did the tune and I could not believe the SOTP improvement. Neither would any of you who haven't done this mod, yet. It is cost-effective and brutal. I can't imagine ever operating a performance LS1,2 or 6 without one. I can say this stuff. I have a FAST and know it from personal experience.

Craigster05 is a forum vendor....ok champ?

I just had this link forwarded to me by 3 forum members.. I dont want to tramp on anyones toes. I praise you guys for donating all proceeds to St Judes. We are also supporting Toys for Tots this year by being the #1 Sponsor for a local 150+ Car car show. Last year we filled a FULL Tractor Trailer with toys for less fortunate children.

On that note, We have offered this mod to our customers since the C6 was on the street. We only recently started sending these out mail order due to the overwhelming demand. Im sorry that someone else happens to do the same mod and is a vendor on this forum... That is what this business is all about. This is a public forum and everyone has a right to promote who they choose to support. Lets all get along and keep our goals the same!!! To make the customer/enthusiast/friend happy and faster than they were

Spin installed my Fast and tuned the car also at no charge ( well couple of dinners but who is counting? I owe him couple more) the car became brutal to the point that I have lost traction 1st thru 3rd gears, and never had that problem before even with the cam..This is a good thing..

Ron, there are trouble makers on the forum and we both know it. While it is perfectly acceptable for you to sell your manifold on the forum, I would never hop on any of your threads (and I never did) offering the service for free or pointing out that Lou from LG Motorsports does this same mod too. It would be your thread. When I first came up with my design before you decided to offer it to the forum members, you came on my thread offering your services. That was wrong. Had I offered my free design to on your thread it would have been stopped.

This manifold is offered through Craigster05 who is a forum vendor. He and I and Lou/LG wouldnt jump on your thread to sell our products at XYZ price. Its would be your thread. I would expect the same respect from you. My original DIY thread was violated in that way; see post 53:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ast+ported+ls2

I am not a forum vendor so I cant really say anything to defend that but you should have started your own thread from the get go. You did exactly that right after a comment was made. The only post I put in your thread was to compliment the awesome paint job. Had that been LG motorsports who does offer this, would you have posted your offering there on Lou's thread?

I am not losing anything but Craig didnt even decide what he is doing and I know he has a shop and there are people on this thread listing your services. I would expect you wouldnt go on an LG thread to hijack it but I was especially offended that some people not only wanted to steer work away from a St Judes profit but they even wanted to have you jump in on a fight. That was the motivation for sending you a link.

Thank you for comming on here as a gentleman and not playing into the childish non-sense. It goes to show that there is decency in competition and in the spirit of American superiority in the engineering world, it makes for a better product by having people compete for a better design.

If this was an LG thread, the comments on offering the manifold by a different vendor would have been removed but I guess Craig doesnt count yet. There are far too few threads that are truly tech in nature here. AintQik, myself, Craig, Joe g, DougGTO, and some others actually post real cam specs and specifics about what works and deosnt. For us it will continue to be the friendly forum it always was. I respect the privacy of those vendors that put money into a design and come up with something positive. I talk with Lou from LG on the phone as well as Dave from Cartek. Both have cutting edge designs and both keep trade secrets. Dave shares some with me and I wouldnt violate it. I dont see these cutting edge tuners hopping on DIY threads to start a fight and I dont think you did either. It would be best to thank your loyal cutomers but tell them, to avoid future problems, it would be best to start a thread for their favorite mods they did and do a review. I have done that in abundance for Dave and the crew at Cartek but you will never see me hopping on a thread to sell their head/cam packages whenever you see a thread started by the likes of DTE and LG just to name a few. They dont have to and neither do you. Your work speaks for itself. Perhaps your customers should do more reviews in new threads and take as much time and space as they need to tell everyone how good your product is. I saw the pictures of your work and know that is all you need to make a sale.

So there you have it. To the guys that PM'ed the link to Ron, ask yourself if you understand what the issue was. If you dont, then read the forum rules. When a item is for sale you can ask questions about it but not offer alternates or tell others where they can get it cheaper. Its called a hijack. Craig, a forum vendor, doesnt post what he does to mod his car for you to take the opportunity to send work elsewhere. That would be like you owning a retail store selling car parts and me standing in the store handing out business cards for GMpartsDirect.

No harm done and I have no ill will toward anyone. This is shaping up to be a nice Holiday season and I want no negative feelings invade it. We belong to a great community here and I feel good about what I do for others even though some think there is an agenda. Group hug?

This thread has got me thinking about the FAST again. Hey Spin - are you and the Long Island boys planning any FL visits this winter? Maybe we can have a down south mod party. Our Corvette Challenge is 3rd weekend in Jan and maybe I'll do this before then.

I can put it on myself (I've swapped my intake 3 times) in 15 minutes, and I'm sure I can handle the mods for the C6, but I'd rather leave the porting to someone with some experience (unless it's readily evident what to do, then I could do that myself too).

Dennis50nj has put that one to rest. He noted significant gains with the FAST on his 1/4 times. An interesting note is that the FAST provides most of its gains in the midband especially in the TQ so why wouldnt a header that shines in that power band not give more gains in a similar manner? I'm just curious and didnt go to the thrack to test the theory. I just dont know why peope dismiss mods that give disproportional gains in the midband as not contributing to 1/4 mile performance.

What part of Texas?

After reading this I'm really thinking about picking up a FAST intake. Although I am already severely traction limited who doesn't want more power.

Welcome2Try - Any updates on the power you gained vs. Stock manifold. I am in the market for one and I want to see the gains you had with it ported!

Here's a member that has a compare from a ported OEM to Ported FAST, I think it may help what you are looking for:
