I installed headers on my car with a supercharger, it seems the valve train noise is louder sometimes then other..
is this seem normal?
Headers are definitely louder. Some people say it's valve train noise. I always thought it was just a tinney sound from the primary tubes. Either way, it does sound like additional valve train noise. Personally I've always liked the sound. It's the sound of performance.
The LS generation of engines are noisy. The newest, LS3, has an accoustic cap, similar to the fuel rail covers, even over the intake manifold in an attempt to quiet them down. GM is attempting to make their cars silent.

this may be a long shot, but I had the same problem, after I got LG headers installed, I noticed a valve train noise, I got the car back on the lift, and the noise was coming from the 2 springs that are to hold the pipes behind the cats, they were free hanging, not even holding the pipes, they were just vibrating/buzzing.....
Steve,
Yes I did get the gauges installed
Thanks alot for the help on the wiring
No I am trying to tune it now, just learning to tune...
HPtuners with WBO2
I'm glad everything worked out for you Brian! I guess both of us are on the same boat on the tuning part just wrapped up my 402 build with the SC. I just started the car last weekend sounded very wicked.
What kind of wideband O2 are you using? I installed the Innovated Motorsport G2 gauge with the lc1 wired it up correctly (I think) but its not working when the car is running. Do I need to install the software and configure some stuff of wires are not on correctly?

The shock wave of the exhaust hitting the wall of the header. Eric Buell talks about this with his new bike and how the muffler is contoured to prevent the muffler from making noise from the shock waves that hit it.
