Default Tire pressure sensor will not reset.

I receive the trackside tpms reset tool today and tried to reset the sensors. The front wheels will reset but the rear left & right won't, the display for the front indicates 34 lbs but the rear display is blank. the rear shows only left rear right rear . Normally when they need reset the display shows xx. I replaced the C6 rear with a C5 an i was wondering if this could be causing the problem. I need help with this. I took the car to the dealer and i plan to take it back, I don't believe what they told me, their excuse not to repair it was because i have a different gear ratio and incorrect tire size. Any suggestion? When the sensors are not functioning properly doe's this affect tm or slow the car down? Im not in limp mode but it does'nt seen like it has full power.

Bob who sold me my Schrader TPS reset tool, indicated these tools are sensitive to low battery condition. Have you tried using a new battery in the Trackside tool?

Very true. I used one last weekend. I made it through three wheels and the battery went dead. Popped in a new battery and it was good to go.

If you're sayiing you replaced your C6 rear sensor with a c5 sensor I don't think it is compatible with the TPMS, check with Bob hes the man on this (BEZ06)

I replaced the entire rear housing and axles with a C5 rear end. I still have the stock sensors in the wheels. I also put a new battery in. Did not make a difference. Be advise the display is blank for the rear sensors and the front show 34 lbs. Has anyone experience this before?

Do you mean the sensors were also from the C5 along with the C5 rear end? Or they were the stock sensors and wheels from your C6? This is an important distinction.

I assume you saw one of my videos. Before doing the relearn procedure you did put the car in the "learn mode" didn't you?

Did you get a honk of the horn at each wheel when you did the front sensors? If you don't get a honk, then the sensors did not register their ID#'s with the TPMS.

As mentioned by a couple of other posters, you need fresh, strong batteries.

Resident C6 drag racing expert Ranger says DO NOT TURN OFF AH for straight line racing!!!

You can turn off TC, but leave AH on while drag racing. The only reason it would activate is if your rear end starts to get out of whack. The computer will correct things quicker than you can and maybe keep you out of the wall.

Well put, BEZ06.

When seeking max acceleration, turning off Active Handling gives you all risk and no reward.

Thats really good driving, your skills are up
I appreciate the advise, I was told several times that tuning off tc & ah would increase performance, it kind of made since with the option to turn off ah, thanks guys i'll consider leaving ah on from now on.
To much to loss & so little to gain.

Bone stock radials 12:40 @ 114.25 mph 1.95 60 ft.
Cam exh 4.10 gr d/r 11:46 @ 123.42 mph 1.66 60 ft.
Added heads d/r 11:32 @ 129.31 mph 1.72 60 ft.
since then I retuned, ported int & tb and reset tpms
Hoping for better 60 ft and high 10:s

Actually, turning off Active Handling gives no acceleration benefit.

But it does give significant risk. Shown below is a C6 benefiting from AH when the car got loose accelerating in first gear. Kept the owner off the wall. Fortunately, he was running in "Traction System Off," in a C6 that's one push of the console button. That's where you want to be at the drag strip.
