1. Don't have an "ear" for american muscle sound
2. Think Corsa's sound great because they paid so much for them.

BTW, I DID have Corsa's on my car, so I'm not talking about something "I heard/read somewhere"...
Man, I wish that I had just part of your knowledge about such a subjective preference!

I have Magnaflows (not sure which model) but they are dual tip and they sound great under acceleration and not overwhelming any other time - just what you described you wanted. I too wanted that muscle car growl and that's what I got. I am very satisfied.

I'll bet that you do. FYI three of the four features that I mentioned were not subjective; weight, price, and fit/finish.

I didn't see anyone suggesting Corsa Extremes --- but that may be an option for you to kick around as well (especially if connected up to a nice set of LT headers).

They have a slightly deeper sound at idle and open throttle than Corsa Sports, are pretty loud under throttle, are smaller and lighter than Corsa Sports, and have almost no cabin drone.

At least you can turn the nonsense off with the push of a bottom when you realize what you did to your car and wallet.

Default Corsa W/X pipe

I am concerned that the Magnaflow seems to come only w/ dual tips. I want quad tips. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your explanation of what is subjective, but you are not quite there yet. Yes you are right about weight and price not being subjective. Read again what you posted about sound and fit & finish. FYI, these two "features", as you call them, are subjective. Obviously there are more than just a few who like Corsa. It could be that maybe you don't have quite the "ear" for good sounding exhaust? That's ok. It's what you like and what the other guy likes that matters and that's the exhaust to purchase.

True, but if you laid a Corsa system on the floor, next to a GHL, B&B or any other of the top names, then asked 10 people (who had invested money in neither) to rate the Fit and finish, Corsa's would come out last every time. That's how you turn something "subjective" into "objective" by using a "score".

True. A lot of people spent too much money on them and justify that by convincing themselves that they sound great. I almost did the same thing. I spent the money (foolishly), then tried to convince myself that they sounded good. They don't though, and after I admitted that to myself, I sold them and got something else. (that still cost more than it's worth, and doesn't sound as good as it should)

Doubtful. 10 out of 10 of my friends will agree that my 'Vette w/Corsa's, GHL and open exhaust sounds no where near as good as my previous Trans Am's and Camaro's. Or other friends Mustangs. None of these people have any money invested into the exhaust on my car, yet their opinion matches mine.

It's true that the sound really only matters to the owner, but to say that Corsa's sound like a true american "muscle car" is just wrong. I don't know why they are so trendy on this particular board.

You are right on with that. Corsa's have a very minimal amount of drone compared to the others though. I guess that it's a compromise that one needs do make to base their decision on.

That I agree with completely, and it is a "plus" of the Corsa's that I neglected to mention above. There is definiltey very little to no drone at all.

For me there's no better sounding car than a big block Vette with side pipes. I like my Corsa Sports and almost as important, my wife doesn't complain about drone.
