I own a 2007 manual transmission Corvette. I'm trying to decide which exhaust would sound best on this car. So far I'm considering Borla Stingers, Billy Boat PRT & Magnaflow Magnapak. I want a system that will have a 60's growl and be noticed at idle and takeoff, however, I do not wish it to be so loud cruising that it's a relief to get out of. Would like to hear the radio. I am concerned that the Magnaflow seems to come only w/ dual tips. I want quad tips. Any suggestions?
This has been discussed a 1000 times and there are about that many opinions.
The type of system you are describing is Corsa Sports but that being said, forget about the 60’s growl it isn’t going to be there.
I only wish my Corvette sounded as good as a Ford Mustang.

Kooks headers, kooks cats, Kooks X-pipe, with Mangaflows. FINALLY my step daughter said my Vette sounds better than her Mom's 06 Mustang GT!
Nothing is going to sound like the 60s muscle-cars.
You mean, no late model 'Vette will. GTO's and Mustangs do though.
To the OP; best bet is to build your own. If I knew when I bought exhaust(s) what I know now, I would have saved thousands, and built my own system...and it would sound proper.
All C6 "systems" sound like junk and cost about 4 times what they should.
I am a mustang convert and have had bassani on all of my mustangs. I got my first vette (C6 MT) last Thursday and had the bassani installed Friday. I love the startup sound and roar when you smash the gas. I also love to hear the pop and crackle when you decel and in between shifts. When you move into cruising gears, you barely notice the exhaust. The unrealized bonus was having 4- 4" chrome tips fill the entire exhaust cutout. Very aggressive look and sound IMO. I have had many compliments in just the first few days of having it and I love it.
You could explore the bimode systems like the Z06, NPP, B&B Fusion, or even do cut outs at the pre-muffler with butterfly valves and get killer sound that way. Use the Search tool to see all the posts concerning above. Good luck.

PRT works too well ?
I looked at the Bassini website, and I see the secret. The main muffler is up forward, under the tunnel reinforcement plate, where the stock H-pipe would be. This gives long tailpipes, as in days of yore, and yields the sweet sound that my Scoutmaster's '57 Ford Fairlane Convertible had !
Not knowing about Bassini, I put on the B&B Rt. 66, with an X-pipe. Sounded great, except for the drone at 1500 to 1700 rpm. So I got a B&B PRT center section, but took it off the same day I put it on. Just too quiet for what I wanted. Maybe I should keep the PRT, and replace the Rt 66 with Bullets ! ! !
Anyway, the 99.99% new PRT is currently for sale in the C6 Parts for Sale/Wanted forum; click HERE.

Did you consider the Flowmaster Series 50? < $400, free del and 2 or 4 tip. I think this is what I'm going with. Hay for $400 + 125 for install not bad
Been there, done that. For a "muscle car" sound it goes like this:
a.) Borla Stingers; b.) GHL magnums; c.) B&B prt package; d.) B&B Rt 66. Now, if you want loud, get B&B bullets, SLP loud mouths or Bassanis. If you want a loud brassy and "un muscle car" sound( more like euro crap) , then get Corsa's. Their price is the highest & IMO the sound & quality the worst. There ya go!

PS: I know I'll get a rise from this.
I've got Corsa Sports with LG Longtubes, I like them, but some people feel like Mike does. Best bet is to go out and hear them if you can. The best thing about Corsas is no drone whatsoever (even if they sound like eurocrap)
Again, if you go bi-mode with C6 NPP or B&B Fusion or Z06, you'll be able at a flick of a switch either run quiet or loud. Adding headers will increase throatiness but you can still run quieter with the valves shut. check it out for yourself. Look at Pipedreams NPP in a Box and watch the videos. Then decide for yourself. Good luck.

I couldn't agree w/you more. Of all the "normal C6 systems" that are out there, the Corsa's sound the worst, weigh the most, and cost the most. And no, the fit and finish isn't the best, though it is good. People who say they are the best either:
1. Don't have an "ear" for american muscle sound
2. Think Corsa's sound great because they paid so much for them.
BTW, I DID have Corsa's on my car, so I'm not talking about something "I heard/read somewhere"...
Drone will absolutely drive you crazy. The fact that you have a manual trans does reduce it though. It's said that the Corsa systems have the least amount of drone and I put Corsa Sports on my '07 MZ6. Even they have a slight drone at 1,600 RPM but very slight and the exhaust sounds nice. You won't get the sound like Ford and the other guys because of the firing order that GM uses.
The most popular is Corsa Sport followed by Borla Stingers. I think Magnaflow makes a great axle back also...that is underrated.
Whatever you do AVOID getting a system with with an X-pipe. I see too many people who have bought full catbacks with an X-pipe..and then they wanna get headers and have to basically throw the X-pipe away. If there is any chance you want headers...you need to make sure you buy a rear section (axle back) exhaust.
