Default 08 C6 Tunning software

Are there any other tunning options besides HP Tuners right now for the 08 LS3??? All I want to do to my car right now since it's new is eliminate the skip shift, reduce the torque management, and sharpen up the throttle response. HP Tuners wants $499 for the basic system and $649 for the professional version. To me that's a little steep for the few things that I want to change. Plus I have zero tunning experience and prefer to leave that to a professional once I start modding. I know Diablosport usually has a Preditor for the C6 but the one for the 08 LS3 has not been released yet and doesn't look like it will be any time soon. I've also checked Superchips and SCT but neither has any options for the LS3.

EFILive also covers the 08 LS3 but about the same price as HP.

I use HP Tuners V2.20 and works really well. Get the EIO upgrade so you can use a wideband O2 sensor to log with the rest of the data.

HPT is well worth the investment especially if you plan to do other mods down the road. You'll want the EIO and wide band capabilities trust me.

It maybe cheaper for you to just have the tuner make the changes for you that you want when he does a full dyno tune.

Only thing i dont like about HP is there is no phone number for them. Got a question, or need some help all through email. Kinda sucks IMO.

Anyone that does buy HPT or already has it we can email you tunes after you send us a log of your current. You talk to our tuner about what you want to see & after he recieves your file he will do the tweaks needed for you at a very reasonable $$. Satisfaction guaranteed

So let me get this straight, I can do a data log of my stock tune, email it to you, and you email back the modified tune based on my specifications which I then load into the car???

If you have an automatic transmission, having the full software is great. You can adjust part throttle shift points and lock up to your driving style.

I think Chuck Cow is close to releasing his hand held unit - not sure exactly what all it will do though.

Just noticed this thread. If you decide you want to get into EFILive and do tuning yourself, we have a great package that includes a wideband O2 setup (which you will need to properly tune your car).

We are an authorized EFILive dealer and also support the product.

Basically the deal is $649 shipped for an EFILive V1 with Innovate LC-1 wideband, or $849 shipped for an EFILive V2 with Innovate LC-1. We can also accomodate different wideband preferences (if you want to add a gauge or go with the LM-1 which is easier to install).

Give us a call at 800-364-1975 if you are interested and we'll get you hooked up.

We are also an authorized Innovate Motorsports warehouse/distributor so even if you decided you wanted HPTuners instead we can definitely get you hooked up on the wideband side of things. There are boxes literally stacked to the ceiling here with widebands in them

With regard to whether or not the price is steep, that's a tough call. 99% of our customers tell us how great of a deal the EFILive/wideband combo is because the products pay for themselves if you need to retune your car just twice. I would not necessarily recommend tweaking your own car to those who do not want to learn, tuning for yourself is definitely a learning experience. In the end though, you will have a much greater appreciation and knowledge for how your car works, why it behaves certain ways when cold and hot and when decelerating, etc. And you'll be able to make changes whenever you want instead of waiting and scheduling dyno tune appointments, etc.
