11secondGP and dennis50nj have almost identical trap speeds. Now imagine if 11secondGP adds the same mods as deniis? That would be very interested.
What if Dennis added nitrous, then what if...what if...etc. We can play what if's all day long. Fact is, Dennis is at 11.1's with 38X rwhp....talk about putting his power to the ground. Nothing against 11secGP, he runs some good times and great mph but isn't close to 11.1's at this point.

I am NOT taking anything away from dennis, he has run some unbelievable times, and I commend him. I am ALSO impressed with a basically stock LS3 running almost identical trap speeds. MPH as you know show HP. And of course, who gets to the finish line first, wins.
1/4 racing is about ET....... not trap speed and not dyno drum power. Get over it. Dennis is gashing the records with regularity. He's flat out running away and hiding. Saying you have similar trap speed as some kind of moral victory is like the skinny kid at high school that just got his face smashed but says "but hey, I broke his hand with my face...huh huh huh huh..."
Everytime I get better 60s the trap goes up a little.
Yes, over the years and in various cars I've seen that as well up until a point, but once the sixty foots really start to come down (without adding more power that is) you will find that the trap speeds will no longer be increasing and they will likely even drop a little bit.
In other words, there is a probability that if Dennis desired to increase his trap speed (as the car sits right now) he could simply induce a little more wheelspin (or a softer launch?) and crack 122mph but he wants what WE ALL want, lower ETs.
Awesome run once again. Once again an 08 with the same mods as dennis is going to be faster, but does that really matter? 10 second C6s are the stuff with bolt ons, these cars are fast. The C6.5 is just a little better thats all. LOL

Not according to the timeslips posted thus far. If you can't get that power to the ground, ain't going to matter. Looks like an 08 with minimal mods already makes more power than Dennis's car but hasn't run with it. Thank god I'm not driving the car though, I'd barely be out of the 13's
Well, not according to most of the ones posted thus far maybe but some LS3s have gone REALLY fast for how few mods they have.
But I am surprised that the stock ones aren't showing any better now that the cold weather has hit and they have more miles on them. While I, contrary to what most were predicting. never believed that bone stock 11s were in the bag, even I'd thought that Daren's and my 12.2s would be beaten by now (and maybe they would've if socalzo6 had made a full pass) in a stock LS3.
It's not over yet of course, we don't yet have enough definitive evidence to make a valid determination on the topic. And logic would dictate that an LS3 with the same mods as an LS2 could/would/should be quicker/faster but logic also dictates that the quickest stock LS3s on record should be notably quicker than the quickest stock LS2s as well, yet thus far they have not shown to be.
A bonestock ls3 car is going to beat 12.2, it will happen. And I still believe someone will sneak in an 11.9X time on a mineshaft day. Several of the southern tracks will be open in Jan-Mar, plenty of time for this to happen (and also accumulate mileage/driver experience on the 08s)

You may be right and I hope it happens but do you truly believe that someone is going to be able to chop off over 4/10ths from the BEST (the average is probably closer to the 12.6 range) stock ETs we've seen so far?
Though again, anything is possible.

look at it this way, i have a few slips in the 1.7s 60 ft range still 121 mph also 11secondgp has more rwhp than me and cant 60 ft the car, i 60 footed 1.7s with stock tires either way when the time comes for me to go faster i will

oh, I've already gone on record as being disappointed with times posted so far. I have seen some promising trap speeds, enough to show the capability, so we will see. But I also know the car is really only out now for 4 months or so and thats just not enough time IMO. Kind of like I mentioned before about the z06 dropping .3-.4 over a 2 yr period. These TM tied cars are going to take time to unravel.
and also, be on the lookout for some "guest" driver appearances in that jan-mar zone, that didn't materialize for one reason or another this past fall

Seat time, seat time and more seat time...... the 08s have not been out that long...... the guys driving need to get comfortable behind the wheel. Given some time the elasped times will get better.
