how do you check a code
Driving home tonight and notices the idle when shifting gears was staying high Around 3000rpm and then falling off after a few seconds, about the time I got home the check engine light came on, how can I check the code??I just installed 4.10 gears and had to drop the exhaust when we did it.?

I bought one of those OBDII handhelds from Adv Auto for $40 bucks and has helped me alot. The one I got also came with a book of the generic P0XXX codes that makes it easy to identify what the codes mean.
Plugging this thing up also allows you to clear the codes.

Go to AutoZone or buy a code reader. I have a mid-range Innova CAN/OBDII code reader...I can update it via the interweb and it does everything I want.

I check and clear mine with HP Tuners. Kind of overkill I guess. 
Kinda hacks me off that they removed that functionality that existed in the C5's to check the codes via the DIC controls.
