Default Brake Pads

Ok my original Z51 pads are now down to the wear marker after my last track day on saturday.

What do I buy to replace them. Hawk HP+?

Need suggestions and who has them at the best price. I could care less about brake dust and noise. Just need them to stop the car from 140+ consistently, and last for more than a few track days.

Honestly, the stock pads were great. They easily overcame the traction of the EMTs, and lasted for 9300 miles including 4 track days.

But no sense in not upgrading.

For the least amount of problems, I'd stay with the OEM formulation.

I use Performance Friction 01 compound in the front and leave them in. Noise is minimal, no fade at the racetrack. I get at least two full track days per set (does not apply to Road America). I could run them longer, but a thin pad transfers more heat to the calipers and causes other problems like melted dust and piston seals.

Justin...FWIW I went with the C5 Z-compound pads. You might want to checkout the Doug Rippie Motorsports web site...they have a decent brake section. Maybe call DRM and speak with Randy...they're good people to deal with. Happy holidays!
