Sorry, I sent a Pm to the mods asking to make it a sticky with all the information you and several other members requested. If everyone on the list would be so kind as to PM me the information on their time slips I will compile a new list. Unfortunately, time is of the essence as tax season approaches and I have to do my numbers thing

Man those stock tires really kill times. There should be some 11s in there for sure with the MPH. Also as someone said the DA needs to be known in order to correct these times............there may already be some 11s in there once corrected.

But on the other hand think of all those rears still where they are supposed to be................ attached to the car in one piece

Hey DSOM is it time to PM everybody on the list for track conditions now or should I wait until after April 15th to revise our little list ?

IMO the sooner you can get that information, the better.

Aside from the track location, the info you will need are temp, humidity, and barometric pressure at the time and location where the run was made.

This won't be easy and incomplete information will probably be the rule as opposed to the exception.

Ok. I will add my .02 to the mix. I ran in August at Beech Bend. My completely stock 6 spd Z51 ran a best of 12.99 @ 111.7 with a 60' of 2.02. I was running with AH/TC completely off. It was hot and the conditions were less than ideal. The Callaway C6 (that I believe has run in the 10's on drag radials) was running 12.1-12.4 on Pirelli street tires (I actually ran him a couple of times).

One thing I tried for the purposes of traction control/torque management was disconnecting the ABS sensors from the rear. You will get a service ABS message. However, after disconnecting the sensors my 60' times dropped to 1.94 and 1.96. Unfortunately, on both passes, I was unable to beat my 12.99 (one was a 13.0x and the other I missed a gear). I will also say that I have had some prior drag experience, but am no means an expert. My August trip to Bowling Green was my first time to a strip in probably 10 years.

I will also add this. On a closed course, I was able to run a C5 Z06 from 60 up to about 130. We ran three times, and on each occasion, the races were almost dead even. The person who got the slightest jump at go would stay ahead. I cannot say for sure, but it did not appear that the Z06 had any mods. My car remained, and still remains, bone stock.

I am not looking to stir the pot, just posting my experience. If I can locate my timeslip, I will post it. If I locate any other information about the conditions that day, I will post them.

At some tracks they give you that info right on the time slips although it's not always entirely accurate either.

I can definitely attest to that. How many times have I gotten time slips with 0% humidity printed on them? I have a drawer full of them.

The only real way to get this information is to have access to a weather station.

12.235 You're the KING. Congratulations on moving to the top of the bone stock list. There is hope for me yet.

Very nice, this is where DA and other info comes into play. Someone in Denver running a 12.6 is right in line with this time when corrected. I have also had the advantage of running at track (Fayetteville Motorsports Park) that is very near sea level but it is important to note the corrected factors when claiming who is the fastest. It is like an uncorrected dyno reading when one car dynos at 34 degrees with 40% humidity and the other dynos at 75 degrees with 80% humidity. Either way great times Just would like to see everyone get thier complete info in order to even the playing field.

I agree, but unless we all have access to weather stations this will be difficult if not impossible.

BTW, have you seen this?

http://www.smokemup.com/auto_math/nh...on_factors.php

Not saying that people should not try, because I definitely agree with you that the weather conditions are important.

But most times, when times are "compared" between say, C5, C6, C5 Z06, SVT Cobra, etc, no mention of specific weather conditions are made.

The quickest documented bone stock C6 on record......anywhere..... is Daren's Black '06 MN6 Z51. It ran 12.2 at 115 mph. Thats good enough for me.

I firmly believe that someone is going to eventually hit the 11s or at least a 12 flat.
