Your C5 ran 11.3's or 12.3's? 11.3's is real fast with a C5 Z06. Anyway, your 12.3 is excellent especially when you think it could do better.

 

11.3 is fast but it may not have even been a Z06, even a non Z06 C5 can be made to run real fast with the right mods.

 

He didn't say it was stock.

 

C5 Z06 had Heads and Cam. Best it ran stock was 12.0, 11.7 with headers, 11.5 with cam and 11.3 with heads.

I'm sure the C6 will run 11.7 with headers too.

 

I know this. I had a 02 Z06 with CAI and Borlas only. I'm quite sure it was capable of running 11.9's. A tad quicker than my C6 with same mods. Top end, different ball game.

Oh yeah, you really ruined my day when you ran/posted that 12.2 ...up until that point I thought I still maybe had a shot at the coveted bone stock C6 LS2 title but am realizing that an automatic just gives up way too much to a properly driven manual and that even hitting 12.4s (let alone 12.3s or 12.2s) will be VERY diificult to do in a pure stock auto.
But I'll still try.


Ah, so you do know where I was going with that. I am concerned that some of us will end up in that 12.5 range and will want to know exactly where we stand next to Orange C6, whether it's a 12.51 or a 12.59 (or a 112.1 or 112.9) can make a difference as more track times come in.

i no a lot of guys who say for example i ran a 12.5 but don't say 12.59 usually they will say 12.51. big difference in a race or facts all time slips should be verified. i could have said 12.3 but i said exactly and showed proof wat it was.

I'm not going to bother to post the slip, I have made several thousand passes, (less than 5 in the C6) I have nothing to prove, I think my times sucked, if you don't believe my times, that's fine, I won't lose any sleep.

 

I don't think Dennis is referring to you specifically, just stating what some might (even unintentionally) do when posting their numbers.
As a general rule from here on in can we please just post the numbers after the decimal point (as shown above) as well, thanks.

 

sorry i was not saying that about anyone but if their is an accounting of times it should be accurate. alot of info can be learned by having accurate information. we really don't need the slip but all the info on the slip tells a nice story.now i can actually say with that crappy sixty ft. time very fast car capable of eleven second times

 

 

No problem...I was reluctant to even put my times up there, it was quite embarrassing, I expected so much better. I'm hoping for 11's in the next week or two. I'll give the real tires a spin...
